    Abstract: An image forming apparatus and a control method are provided. The image forming apparatus includes an input which receives an input of a job execute command, a job performer which performs a job according to the inputted job execute command, and a controller which adjusts a standby time, when the inputted job execute command is added during operation in the normal mode, the standby time being time interval between completion of the job and entrance into power-save mode. The controller changes the operational mode of the image forming apparatus to the power-save mode according to the adjusted standby time.
