  • Patent number: 9008941
Abstract: The present invention relates to an anti-jerk control apparatus and method for an Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). The anti-jerk control apparatus includes a model speed calculation unit for calculating a model speed of the motor in a state in which a vibration of a drive shaft is not considered. A vibration occurrence determination unit detects a speed vibration component while calculating a reference speed difference and an average speed difference from differences between the model speed and an actual speed of the motor, thus determining whether a vibration occurs on the drive shaft. A torque correction value calculation unit calculates a motor torque correction value for anti-jerk required to damp the vibration of the drive shaft, and controls torque of the motor if the vibration occurrence determination unit determines that the vibration occurs on the drive shaft.

  • Publication number: 20150066235
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling noise of a vehicle body may include a reinforcement member movably installed in a vehicle body frame, an accelerator pedal detection unit for detecting whether an accelerator pedal is operated, a controller for determining whether a vehicle accelerates or decelerates based on a signal from the accelerator pedal detection unit and outputting a control signal to move the reinforcement member to be in contact with or to be spaced apart from a cross member of the vehicle body frame in accord with acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle, and a driving apparatus for moving the reinforcement member according to the control signal of the controller. By selective movement of the reinforcement member, the apparatus modifies a noise generated by the cross member differently according to the acceleration or the deceleration of the vehicle and thus improves sound quality.

  • Patent number: 8941041
Abstract: A cooking apparatus is provided. The cooking apparatus includes a cooking cavity, an upper space formed above the cooking cavity, lateral side spaces formed to at opposite lateral sides of the cooking cavity, a rear space formed behind the cooking cavity, and a lower space formed below the cooking cavity. A fan provided in the rear space generates a cooling flow that cools components housed in the rear space. A cooling flow path extends from the rear space and into the upper space and lateral side spaces. Flow from the upper space enters the door to cool the door and is exhausted through a lower portion of the door. Flow from the lateral side spaces, which includes an exhaust flow from the cooking cavity, is guided to the lower space and exhausted. In this manner, the cooking apparatus can be completely cooled and cooking odors and heat appropriately exhausted by the cooling fan positioned in the rear space.

  • Patent number: 8900940
Abstract: In general, aspects of the present invention relate to approaches for forming a semiconductor device such as a FET with reduced gate stack height variance. Specifically, when a gate stack height variance is detected/identified between a set of gate stacks, a hard mask layer and sets of spacers are removed from the uneven gate stacks leaving behind (among other things) a set of dummy gates. A liner layer and an inter-layer dielectric are formed over the set of dummy gates. The liner layer is then removed from a top surface (or at least a portion thereof) of the set of dummy gates, and the set of dummy gates are then removed. The result is a set of gate regions having less height variance/disparity.
