  • Publication number: 20150072205
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a battery assembly including at least two battery cells connected in series or in parallel. Each of the battery cells includes an electrode assembly including a cathode, an anode and a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode and a battery case in which the electrode assembly is mounted. An electrode terminal of a first battery cell and an electrode terminal of a second battery cell are formed as a single member at a series or parallel connection portion between the first and second battery cells.

  • Publication number: 20140248523
Abstract: Disclosed is a battery pack configured such that a plurality of battery modules is connected to each other in series in a state in which the modules are in contact with each other or stacked adjacent to each other, the pack being fixed such that a stacked state of the modules is maintained even when volume of the modules is changed during charge and discharge, the pack including a cut-off portion connected in series to an electrical connection circuit between modules, a fixing member to fix a circuit breaker to at least one outer surface of the pack, and the breaker configured to be electrically conducted when an outer surface of at least one module expands by a reference volume value or more, the breaker being connected in series to the electrical connection circuit to short-circuit the cut-off portion when electric conduction is performed due to swelling of the modules.

  • Publication number: 20140086345
Abstract: A near field wireless communication apparatus using a magnetic coupling to transmit data or clock information with low power and high efficiency is provided. Thus, when data to be transmitted is “1,” the near field wireless communication apparatus modulates the data into a pulse signal and transmits the pulse signal, and when the data is “0,” the near field wireless communication apparatus does not generate a signal at all.

  • Publication number: 20140065467
Abstract: A battery pack includes a plurality of battery modules, each having at least one unit cell, a case for accommodating the unit cell and a bus bar electrically connected to the unit cell, and a connecting bar for connecting battery modules adjacent to each other among the plurality of battery modules, wherein at least one of the connecting bars includes a first metal plate, a second metal plate spaced apart from the first metal plate, and a metal bridge configured to connect the first metal plate and the second metal plate and having a lower melting point than the metal plate. In this configuration, if an overcurrent flows at the battery pack, the connecting bar is easily broken, thereby ensuring safety of the battery pack in use.
