  • Publication number: 20240108059
Abstract: An aerosol generating article includes: a first segment impregnated with a first liquid composition; a second segment impregnated with a second liquid composition that is different from the first liquid composition; a cooler configured to cool aerosol by allowing the aerosol, generated from the first segment or the second segment, to pass through the cooler; and a filter configured to filter the aerosol by allowing the aerosol having passed through the cooler to pass through the filter, wherein at least a portion of the filter is recessed to thereby form a cavity in the filter.

  • Patent number: 7583592
Abstract: A route recovery method in a wireless network of a tree topology, in which a second node, which is a lower node of a first node and is disconnected from the first node, recovers the route in the network. The route recovery method includes the second node broadcasting a local repair request (LREQ) packet, each node receiving the LREQ packet sending a local repair reply (LREP) packet to the second node to act as a relay node for the route recovery, the second node selecting the relay node from among the nodes sending the LREP packet, and sending a local repair confirm (LCON) packet from the second node to the relay node, and establishing the route between the second node and the first node by the relay node sending a local repair inform (LINF) packet to the first node.

  • Patent number: 6014492
Abstract: A video signal recording and reproducing apparatus for a digital video cassette tape recorder by which it is possible to judge the transmission amount of the digital data inputted from a digital source, the type of the video tape, and whether or not the tape is recorded in accordance with the judgment result, for thus automatically controlling a recording mode and a reproducing mode, which includes a tape type detector for judging a tape type in accordance with a recordable wavelength of the video tape on which a digital signal is recorded; a data rate detector for detecting and judging a data transfer rate of a digital signal, and a controller for varying a recording or reproducing speed in accordance with the judged tape type and the data transfer rate of the digital signal.

  • Patent number: 5937135
Abstract: An improved video signal recording and reproducing apparatus for a digital video cassette tape recorder by which it is possible to divide, record and reproduce a digital video signal on a low density video tape into multiple tracks based on the amount of data recordable on one track of a high density video tape by controlling a recording/reproducing speed and a tape running speed in accordance with a judgement of the type of the video tape having a predetermined recordable wavelength. The apparatus includes a detector for detecting the type of the video tape in accordance with a recordable wavelength of the video tape, a judgement section for judging the type of the tape by receiving a detected tape type signal from the detector, and a controller for controlling a recording and reproducing speed in accordance with the judged tape type.

  • Patent number: 5905487
Abstract: A data input device for use with a virtual reality system comprises an upper case, a lower case rotatably supporting the upper case, five push-buttons, and a potentiometer. The push-buttons correspond to the fingers of a virtual hand displayed on a screen of the virtual reality system, respectively, and are located on an upper portion of the upper case. Disposed under each push-button is a sensor which is activated when the corresponding push-button is pressed, which, in turn, allow a signal to be transmitted to a CPU. The signal from the sensor determines the corresponding finger to be flexed. The potentiometer generates signals which linearly vary depending on a rotation angle of the upper case and transmits the signals to the CPU. The determined finger is linearly flexed in response to the signals from the potentiometer. If no finger is determined to be flexed, the hand is linearly rotated in response to the signals.
