  • Publication number: 20240054399
Abstract: A system for providing a boosted decision tree (BDT) for use on an electronic device to provide an event score based on a user input event, where the device includes: a machine learning trainer configured to create a trained BDT from an untrained BDT by determining parameters for the untrained BDT; a nanosecond optimizer configured to create an optimized BDT, the nanosecond optimizer including at least one of a tree flattener, a tree merger, a score normalizer, a tree remover, and a cut eraser; and a converter coupled to the nanosecond optimizer and configured to receive the optimized BDT from the nanosecond optimizer and convert the optimized BDT to a language for high-level-synthesis to produce a hardware description language representation of the optimized BDT, wherein the hardware description language representation of the optimized BDT is structured and configured to be implemented in firmware provided on the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20090173727
Abstract: A butt-joint welding method is disclosed, which is capable of improving welding productivity by reducing the number of welding passes by weaving a welding wire in submerged arc welding. The welding method includes arranging two parent metals having 10-35 mm thickness at an interval of 8-20 mm to face each other, attaching a backing material to rear sides of the two parent metals, the rear sides facing each other, so that the backing material seals a space between the parent metals through surface-contact with the rear sides, performing flux cored arc welding or compositely performing the flux cored arc welding and submerged arc welding 1-3 times on an upper layer of the backing material, and welding the two parent metals while weaving a submerged arc welding wire transversely.

  • Patent number: 6325794
Abstract: A laser handpiece using an optical system such as a prism. The laser handpiece includes a laser fiber for irradiating laser beam output from a laser generating device, a first beam path changing portion for changing a traveling path of the laser beam output from the laser fiber, a second beam path changing portion for changing finally the traveling path of the laser beam output from the first beam path changing portion, a focus lens for focusing the laser beam output from the second beam path changing portion onto a point, and a main body for containing the laser fiber, the first beam path changing portion, the second beam path changing portion and the focus lens. Thus, an optical axis can be easily aligned and the traveling path of the laser beam can be easily changed within a small space, so the laser handpiece can be manufactured in a convenient shape for use.
