Abstract: If a user inputs a desired printing option, a preview screen depending on the input printing option is displayed on the touchscreen. Then, if first and second touch input points are detected on the preview screen and a distance between the first and second touch input points is changed, a preview screen, a set value of the input printing option has been changed by the user, is displayed. Thereby, the number of pages contained in a preview image, the number of sheets of paper corresponding to the number of split parts of an object displayed on the preview image, the paper size of the preview image, or the size of the preview image may be changed and displayed, which enables convenient and rapid intuitive setting of N-UP, poster, paper size and actual image size printing options.

Abstract: An image forming device and a controlling method thereof, in which the image forming device includes: a customer replaceable unit memory (CRUM) associated with a recording material storage medium to store a color conversion table group including a color conversion table that corresponds to status information of the image forming device, and a controller to determine current status information of the image forming device, to read a target color conversion table from among the color conversion table group according to the determined current status information, and to apply the target color conversion table to perform a printing operation on a document. Therefore, an optimum print quality can be guaranteed according to the determined current status of the image forming device.

Abstract: A printing method using a terminal device connected to an image forming apparatus includes analyzing an object of an initial page of a medium to be printed and setting fusing conditions if a print command is input, and transmitting the set fusing conditions and print data to the image forming apparatus. The fusing conditions are set differently according to characteristics of an initial page of a medium to be printed, and thus the preheating time can be reduced and the printing speed can be increased.

Abstract: An output system and method, and, more particularly, a multi-output system and method capable of simultaneously outputting data to a plurality of output apparatuses are disclosed. The multi-output system includes: a reception unit which receives data to be output; a storage unit which stores a plurality of different conversion formats; a selection unit which allows a plurality of conversion formats to be selected from the conversion formats stored in the storage unit; a conversion unit which converts the received data into the plurality of the selected conversion formats; and an output unit which outputs the converted data into a predetermined output apparatus.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus and a method to print a plurality of files stored in a portable recording medium. The image forming apparatus to receive the files stored in the portable recording medium includes an interface unit to provide a communication interface with the portable recording medium, and a control unit connectable with the portable recording medium through the interface unit to control the interface unit to receive the files stored in one selected directory among directories of the portable recording medium through the interface unit. The selection of one of the directories takes place even without individually selecting to-be-printed files among the files stored in the portable recording medium. As a result, among the files stored in the selected directory, a plurality of printable files are simultaneously printed out, thereby providing convenience to users.
