Publication number: 20240147487Abstract: The method for transmitting control information in a mobile communication system includes: determining a control channel resource for transmitting control information by means of the data channel region; and transmitting the control information using the determined control channel resource. A capacity for control information, which increases for multiple user multiple-input multiple-out (MIMOs) in a heterogeneous network environment, for heterogeneous network interference control using carrier aggregation, for frequent use of a multicast-broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) subframe, and for a CoMP transmission control, may be satisfied. Further, an adaptive resource allocation based on a requested capacity for control information may be enabled, and the efficient utilization of resources may also be enabled.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2024Publication date: May 2, 2024Applicant: Electronics and Telecommunications Research InstituteInventors: Bang-Won Seo, Young-Jo Ko, Tae-Gyun Noh, Jae-Young Ahn

MAC layer timestamping approach for emerging wireless sensor platform and communication architecture
Patent number: 8102787Abstract: In the receiving side MAC layer timestamping approach, the MPDU structure is changed by adding an extra timestamping field. When a MPDU packet is generated, a captured receiving timestamp is written into the MPDU's timestamp field. The MPDU packet is then forwarded from the PHY to the MAC layer of the wireless sensor node. In the MAC layer, the receiving timestamp is further processed and inserted into a corresponding field of the time synchronization message, which is in turn transmitted to a Time Synchronization module. In the sending side MAC layer timestamping approach, the sending timestamp is captured immediately before the time synchronization message is written into TxFIFO.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2008Date of Patent: January 24, 2012Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shu Wang, Tae-Won Ahn -

Patent number: 6496554Abstract: The present invention relates to a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit and, more particularly to a PLL with a phase lock detection circuit. The PLL circuit includes a phase detector, a charge pump, a loop filter, a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), a frequency divider, and a phase lock detection circuit having two current charging/discharging circuits with first and second constant current sources for generating a phase lock signal having a pulse form through charging/discharging a capacitor. A voltage level of the capacitor is changed with a hysteresis characteristic. In the out-of-lock state of the PLL circuit, the discharging speed of the capacitor is faster than the charging speed thereof. In the phase lock state of the PLL circuit, the charging speed of the capacitor is faster than the discharging speed thereof.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1999Date of Patent: December 17, 2002Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventor: Tae-Won Ahn
