  • Patent number: 9795943
Abstract: Provided are a lithium adsorbent prepared using an aerosol deposition method, including (a) synthesizing lithium manganese oxide powder, and (b) coating the lithium manganese oxide powder on a surface of a substrate by the aerosol deposition method, and a method of preparing the same. The lithium adsorbent is characterized in that the lithium manganese oxide powder may be directly coated on various substrates using the aerosol deposition method, thereby greatly reducing a decrease of a lithium recovery rate even after a long time has lapsed. Further, the lithium adsorbent having a large surface area prepared by the preparation method of the present invention is characterized by being easily handled, being selectively reacted with lithium ions, having a larger adsorption area, being physically and chemically stable, and being used reversibly.

  • Publication number: 20120156084
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sintered ferromolybdenum alloy, in which a mixed powder of a mill scale (a mixture of Fe, FeO and Fe2O3) as a ferrous raw material discharged from a hot rolling and forging process of the steel-making process and a molybdenum oxide powder as a molybdenum raw material is primarily reduced with a hydrogen gas at low temperature, and then is secondarily reduced with the hydrogen gas at high temperature and simultaneously is cooled in a hydrogen atmosphere to thereby obtain a ferromolybdenum alloy in the form of a powder, and subsequently the obtained ferromolybdenum alloy powder is mixed with wax (Kenolube P11) and the wax-containing mixture is compacted or pressure-molded, after which the molded product is heat-treated in a hydrogen gas atmosphere and then is cooled, thereby manufacturing a sintered ferromolybdenum alloy, and a sintered product manufactured by said method.

  • Publication number: 20100035746
Abstract: This chemical vapor synthesis process was designed so that a metal carbide precursor and a secondary metal precursor are separately or together fed into each evaporator in a reactor by specially designed precursor feeders, either simultaneously or sequentially. The reduction and carburization of the vaporized precursors by gaseous mixtures produces carbide-metal nanocomposite powders. The product can be a very uniform mixture of the constituent powders or a uniform agglomerate, which is important to ensure a high quality of bulk cemented metal carbide product after consolidation and sintering. These nanocomposite powders can be readily characterized using XRD, carbon analyzer and TEM.
