Abstract: Disclosed is an regular expression matching method in deep packet inspection and an apparatus thereof. The regular expression matching method includes receiving a regular expression pattern, converting the received regular expression pattern into predetermined automata, converting the converted automata into a combination of predefined templates, and implementing the converted combination of templates as cells at a reconfigurable hardware level in real time. The converting of the received regular expression pattern into the automata includes converting the received regular expression pattern into Non-deterministic Finite Automata.

Abstract: A software switch for providing a network function and an operation method thereof are provided. The software switch includes an extraction unit configured to, when a packet is received, extract packet header information from the received packet, a search unit configured to search for an identical flow rule among pre-determined flow rules based on the extracted packet header information, a performance unit configured to, when the identical flow rule is found, execute actions in which a network function for the found flow rule is previously defined, and a transmission unit configured to transmit a packet in which the actions are executed to a destination.

Abstract: A computer input system is provided for using a smart terminal as an input device to a computer. The method for the computer includes receiving from the smart terminal, input to the smart terminal from an electronic pen, wherein the input is received by the computer through a predetermined communication mode established between the computer and the smart terminal, identifying a foreground application of the computer, interpreting the input in association with the foreground application, converting the interpreted input to an input signal associated with the foreground application, and controlling the foreground application with the input signal, to execute an operation corresponding to the input signal, where the input signal is a keyboard or mouse input signal.
