The artificial intelligence cooking device according to an embodiment includes: a sensing unit configured to photograph at least one food material and detect a distance to the at least one food material; and a processor configured to acquire a weight of the at least one food material by providing an image obtained by photographing the at least one food material and the detected distance to an artificial intelligence model, and perform cooking according to a cooking course that is set on the basis of a kind of the at least one food material and the weight of the at least one food material. Here, the artificial intelligence model is a neural network that is trained by using training data including an image obtained by photographing a food material and a distance from which an image is photographed and labeling data including a weight of a food material.
