  • Patent number: 6986363
Abstract: A valve assembly for use in regulating the flow of fluid between a first fluid side and a second fluid side of a hydraulic circuit. The assembly has an insert mounted in a hydraulic component having at least a portion of the hydraulic circuit formed therein, the insert also has a first end exposed to the first fluid side, a first end opening formed on the first end and a second end open to the second fluid side. The valve assembly additionally has a valve plug retained within the second end of the insert and a valve seat surface formed on the first end of the insert. • Patent number: 6964280
Abstract: A combination check valve and pressure relief valve is provided for use in regulating the flow of fluid between a first fluid side and a second fluid side. The combination check valve and pressure relief valve includes a valve plug, a valve guide moveably positioned in relation to the valve plug, a valve stem engaged to the valve guide, a check compression spring attached to the valve stem and positioned between the valve guide and the valve plug, a valve seat carried by the valve stem, and a relief compression spring positioned between the valve seat and the valve guide. The valve guide is adapted to move the valve stem relative to the valve seat against the force of the relief compression spring to allow fluid to pass from the first fluid side to the second fluid side through a fluid flow passage formed between the valve stem and the valve seat.

  • Patent number: 6761182
Abstract: A method of configuring a valve comprised of a valve seat, a valve stem, a valve guide, and a relief compression spring. The method comprises calculating a compression force required to move the valve stem relative to the valve seat, using that calculated force to move the valve guide into a desired position, then crimping the valve guide to the valve stem at that desired position. The method also comprises attaching a check compression spring to the valve stem at a location inside the valve guide, installing the valve in a test stand to measure the actual pressure required to achieve the desired rate of fluid flow and forming the valve seat using metal injection molding.

  • Publication number: 20020192099
Abstract: The invention concerns a tooth set (1) for a hydraulic machine (2), particularly a hydraulic steering unit, with a toothed ring (3), a gear wheel (4) arranged inside the toothed ring (3), a first plate (7) on an axial front side of the gear wheel (4) and the toothed ring (3) and a second plate (5) on the other axial front side. A simplification of the production is endeavoured. For this purpose, the two plates (5, 7) and the parts between them, gear wheel (4) and toothed ring (3), can be handled as a self-retainingly assembled module (1).

  • Patent number: 6427722
Abstract: The invention concerns a rotary slide set for a hydraulic steering arrangement with an outer rotary slide and an inner rotary slide arranged in the outer rotary slide, and having in its surface tank grooves, which are, at least in predetermined rotary positions, connected with a low pressure connection, and at least one through-opening in its wall, each overlapping, at least partly, a tank groove. In a rotary slide set of this kind it is desired to avoid jamming between the inner and the outer rotary slides. For this purpose, surface recesses have been made at the remaining tank grooves to serve as balancing areas.

  • Patent number: 6186173
Abstract: The invention concerns a hydraulic steering arrangement (1) with an adjustable throttle, which has an internal rotary slide (2) with internal steering openings (4) in its circumferential wall and rotatable in relation to this, an external rotary slide (3) with external steering openings (7, 10) in its circumferential wall (8). The production of such steering arrangements must be inexpensive, yet a jamming during operation must be avoided. For this purpose, each of the external steering openings is made by a substantially radially extending bore (7), which penetrates part of the circumferential wall (8), and a following section (10) with reduced flow cross section.

  • Patent number: 4499109
Abstract: Cheese curd is produced by coagulating a milk product during its passage through a long coagulator tube under renneting conditions giving a relatively slow coagulation course. The milk product is renneted in-line and the renneted mixture is fed periodically to the inlet end of the coagulator tube during feeding periods with intermediate stand still periods, the length of a feeding period being selected so that no essential coagulation occurs in the mixture from its introduction into the coagulator tube up to the successive stand still period, and the length of a stand still period being selected so that the mixture after having been subjected to one stand still period in the coagulator tube forms a sufficiently firm coagulum to be transported by feeding new mixture during the successive feeding period towards the outlet end of the coagulator tube as a continuous plug.

  • Patent number: 4460609
Abstract: In the manufacture of Cheese of the "pasta filata" type, an intermediate product is obtained by carrying out the coagulation of a protein concentrate, obtained by ultrafiltration of milk, by means of an acid whose concentration is selected so that the calcium concentration, in the coagel resulting from the coagulation, after separation of liquid, is below about 1.5% calculated on the weight of fatfree dry solids.

  • Patent number: 4266464
Abstract: The invention relates to hydraulic control apparatus for a servomotor of the type utilized for vehicle steering systems. Such apparatus has a control circuit controlled by a manually operated device such as a steering wheel and a power circuit connected between the servomotor and a power source such as a hydraulic pump. The power circuit includes resetting apparatus for throttling the return flow branch in a manner so that forces applied to the servomotor in the same direction as actuation are absorbed with a minimum of reactionary movement by the valves on the return flow side of the apparatus.
