Abstract: An optical fiber cable retention device includes a body having first and second opposing portions and a hinge disposed therebetween to retain an optical fiber cable when the optical fiber cable retention device is placed in a closed position. The first and second body portions are engageable with one another about the hinge. At least one of the first and second body portions includes a flexible wall portion configured to provide a retention force to an outer jacket of the fiber cable. At least one of the first and second body portions includes a strength member retention area having one or more structures configured to engage a strength member of the optical fiber cable. The optical fiber cable retention device also includes a latching mechanism to secure the device in the closed position.
