The portable flash drive includes a housing defining a chamber, a memory unit disposed in the chamber of the housing, and a slot hook attached to an end of the housing. The slot hook includes an interior aperture, a blocking end, a pivoting end, and an opening therebetween, and a spring lever having a first arm and second arm of staggered lengths extending parallel from opposite ends of an abutment segment therebetween, the first and second arms attached to the hook at the pivoting end of the hook such that the spring lever is biased to a closed position across the opening.
