Abstract: A communication system having a common ground mechanism is provided. The communication system comprises a local host, a local telephone device, a sound input path and a sound output path. The local telephone device is connected to a remote telephone device through a telecom facility. The sound input path comprises a first transformer module and is connected between the local telephone device and the local host such that the local telephone device may transfer a sound input to the local host. The sound output path comprises a second transformer module and is connected between the local telephone device and the local host such that the local telephone device may receive a sound output from the local host. The first and the second transformer modules couple a first ground of the telecom facility and a second ground of the local host together such that the first and second grounds are common-grounded.

Abstract: An audio system of a tablet personal computer and the speaker orientating method thereof are provided, wherein the audio system comprises at least two speakers mounted on a frame of the tablet personal computer, an angle detector mounted on the frame, an audio driver used to drive the speakers, and an audio-adjusting device. The audio driver can adjust the sound field of each speaker in accordance with a set of audio parameters. The angle detector is used to generate positional data as the frame is rotated relative to the ground. The audio adjusting device is used to renew the audio setting in accordance with the positional data to make the speakers provide an audio stereophony substantially equal to the predetermined stereophony.

Abstract: An audio/video system for use in a notebook computer. The notebook computer with the audio/video system, without loading any operating system, can operate for users to watch television or video, as well as writing these programs to a storage device, such as a recordable compact disk. In one embodiment, circuits for processing audio/video signals in the audio/video system are integrated into a single chip for processing signals from analog television, digital television, and other video sources. In addition to the integration, appropriate and corresponding power management is provided to achieve lower energy consumption during the notebook computer operating for watching or copying of television programs or video.

Abstract: A hard-disk protection apparatus is coupled to a hard disk applied to an electronic apparatus. The hard-disk protection apparatus includes a sensor and a circuit breaking device. The sensor is for sensing an acceleration of the hard disk as the hard disk is moved by an external force. The circuit breaking device determines whether to cut off the power supply from the electronic apparatus to the hard disk according to the magnitude of the acceleration.

First and second connectors are selectively disposed on the base. When the first connector is disposed on the base, a first distance is formed between first pins and a standard surface. When the second connector is disposed on the base, a second distance is formed between second pins and the standard surface. The difference between the first and second distances is equal to the gap. The first connector connects PATA hard disk drive, and the second connector connects SATA hard disk drive.
