The swinging structure includes two lateral swinging segments and a middle swinging segment. The lateral swinging segments are arranged between the supporting element and the touch member. The middle swinging segment is arranged between the base plate and the touch member. The fixing structure is connected with the middle swinging segment and arranged between the lateral swinging segments. When an external force is exerted on the touchpad module, the middle swinging segment is swung toward the base plate, and the lateral swinging segments are swung away from the supporting element.

In response to an external force, the touch member is swung toward the base plate by using the supporting assembly as a fulcrum, so that the switch is contacted with the triggering part. Moreover, the first segment is correspondingly moved away from the second segment by using the bent structure as a fulcrum, so that there is a first angle between the first segment and the second segment.

    Abstract: A touchpad module includes a circuit board, a switch and a conductive raised structure. The circuit board includes a first conducting part and a second conducting part. The switch is installed on the circuit board. The switch includes a metal dome. The metal dome includes a first portion corresponding to the first conducting part and a second portion corresponding to the second conducting part. When the metal dome is subjected to deformation, the first portion of the metal dome is contacted with the first conducting part. The conductive raised structure is arranged between the second conducting part and the second portion of the metal dome. Since a gap is formed between the circuit board and the second portion of the metal dome, the contact area between the metal dome and the circuit board is reduced. Consequently, the generated noise is reduced.

    Abstract: A surface mount device switch includes a pedestal, a flexible conducting element and a metal dome. The flexible conducting element is connected with the pedestal. There is a spacing distance between the flexible conducting element and a circuit board. The metal dome is located under a pedestal conducting part of the pedestal and the flexible conducting element. When the flexible conducting element is pushed by the metal dome, the flexible conducting element is deformable in the direction toward the circuit board. Since the collision between the metal dome and the flexible conducting element is alleviated, the noise is reduced. Consequently, the comfort of operating the touchpad module is enhanced. The present invention further provides a touchpad module and a computing device with the surface mount device switch.

When the touchpad assembly is no longer pressed, the elastomer provides an elastic force to the upper plate. In response to the elastic force, the second end of the upper plate is swung upwardly relative to the second end of the lower plate and the touchpad assembly is returned to an original position.
