  • Publication number: 20100184490
Abstract: A portable terminal in which, even when an impact caused by dropping or the like acts on an engaging portion of a second rotating member, it is possible to prevent a lock pin for fixing the second rotating member, and an engaging portion from being broken is provided. A second housing portion 56 in which a magnet 63 of a second engaging portion 46 is disposed attracts an engaging pin 45 formed by a magnetic material, by a magnetic force to project the engaging pin 45 from the surface 11A of a first case 11, and a second case 12 is caused to rotate about a second rotating axis 32, whereby a second projecting portion 52 is housed in the second housing portion 56 and the engaging pin 45 is locked. The second projecting portion 52 is rotatable about the axis of a first projecting portion 51.

  • Patent number: 6958454
Abstract: A navigation switch apparatus with simple construction is capable of operating in eight directions including longitudinal, lateral and diagonal directions. The apparatus has a printed circuit board having four conductors provided thereon with small spaces between each conductor. Together the conductors are shaped like a doughnut. A cap-shaped body arranged opposite the printed circuit board is provided with short-circuiters for making contact with the respective four conductors when a navigation lever is operated in the eight directions. Each conductor includes two opposing comb-shaped conductive layers. The central portion of one conductive layer has a diametrically directed comparatively-coarse comb shape. Both of the end portions of the other conductive layer have a circumferentially directed comparatively-fine comb shape, and the cap-shaped body has a thin-walled portion on its outer periphery.

  • Patent number: 6614650
Abstract: This invention provides a portable terminal apparatus increasing brightness at a light emitting portion of the portable terminal apparatus. Light emitted from a light source is made to be incident from an engaging portion of a conducted light emitting portion and is diffused at inside of the conducted light emitting portion. The diffused light is reflected by surfaces of a bottom face portion and side face portions and of a recessed portion, the reflected light is further diffused and emitted by a conducted light emitting member at a vicinity of a surface of the recessed portion and therefore, brightness of the conducted light emitting portion at the vicinity of the recessed portion can be increased.
