  • Patent number: 5274366
Abstract: A display circuit for a simple matrix type liquid crystal display apparatus which is multiduty. The picture element data of one line portion is sequentially output through the segment driver into one electrode contacting the liquid crystal. The scanning pulses are sequentially output through the command driver into the other electrode contacting the liquid crystal. The driving circuit further reverses the polarities of the outputs at a constant period with an alternating signal, so as to drive the respective liquid crystal.

  • Patent number: 5115232
Abstract: A display device driving circuit for converting a binary display data into an AC signal having no DC component and supplying the AC signal to a display device including, a synchronizing circuit for receiving the display data, a binary modulating signal and a clock signal and for synchronizing the display data and the modulating signal with the clock signal, a decoder connected to the synchronizing circuit for generating a signal having a logic level corresponding to logic levels of the synchronized display data and modulating signal, and a power supply circuit connected to the decoder for outputting a voltage having an amplitude corresponding to the logic level of the signal received from the decoder to the display device.

  • Patent number: 4898483
Abstract: An electronic typewriter equipped with a personal computer has a first processing unit which includes hardware capable of receiving software, such as a word processor program, so that the electronic typewriter can serve as a personal computer; a second processing unit which includes hardware capable of receiving software of an electronic typewriter; and a keyboard. A selection switch is provided for selecting between a personal computer mode and a typewriter mode. The selection switch allows the user to interrupt the personal computer mode to allow the insertion of a typewritten word onto the document being produced without destroying the process being carried in the personal computer mode.
