  • Publication number: 20100150418
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: an image obtaining section for obtaining medical images that represent transverse cross sections of a subject, and a division line setting section, for setting division lines within each medical image that divide subject regions representing the subject front to back, such that thoracic bones in the front to back direction of the projection direction of the subject are not displayed in an overlapping manner within the pseudo three dimensional images. A pseudo three dimensional medical image generating section generates a first pseudo three dimensional medical image based image data representing subject regions toward first sides of the division lines within the medical images, and generates a second pseudo three dimensional medical image based on image data representing subject regions toward second sides of the division lines within the medical images, by executing intensity projection methods.

  • Patent number: 7599091
Abstract: In creating color conversion definition in which correspondence relation between coordinates in a first color space and coordinates in a second color space is defined, high-accuracy color conversion definition is created in a method with a high degree of freedom of a known-point pair and with high versatility. By solving a formula in which, for any two coordinate points in a first color space, mutual relation between coordinates in a second color space corresponding to the coordinates is generally specified, with data of points for which mutual relationship has been determined as a boundary condition, and with arbitrarily set nonlinearity added, each coordinate in the second color space corresponding to each coordinate in the first color space is calculated.

  • Patent number: 7567689
Abstract: An authentication apparatus and authentication method in which ID information and a registered facial characteristic amount of the principal and of an associated individual associated with the principal in advance are read out by the card reader. The principal and associated individual accompanying the principal are imaged by the imaging section, and a characteristic amount of each of them is calculated by a characteristic amount generating section based on the image data obtained. The registered and obtained characteristic amounts of each of them are compared by the characteristic amount matching level calculating section to calculate respective matching levels. The principal is initially authenticated by the authenticating section by comparing the matching level with a threshold level. If it is unsuccessful, the associated individual is authenticated in the similar way, and if it is successful, the principal is determined to be successfully authenticated.

  • Publication number: 20060056664
Abstract: During use of equipment by a user having qualifications to use the equipment, an image of the user is continuously photographed by a video camera. When the face of the user can no longer be detected from the image acquired by the camera, warning is issued through voice and screen display and the photographing of an image and the detection of a face are continued. When the face of the user cannot be detected within a predetermined amount of time (e.g., 10 seconds), the equipment is locked.

  • Patent number: 6964016
Abstract: A printed material to be folded a plurality of times is paginated by displaying an unfolded leaf and assigning page numbers to pages on the face and back of the unfolded leaf through computer processing. The number of rectangles corresponding to the number of pages in a matrix is designated on each of the face and back of the unfolded leaf. One of the rectangles is determined as a 1st page on either one of the face and back of the unfolded leaf, and the rectangle on the reverse side which corresponds to the 1st page is determined as a 2nd page. One of the rectangles which will face the 2nd page when the leaf is folded once is determined as a 3rd page. The rectangle on the reverse side which corresponds to the 3rd page is determined as a 4th page. One of the rectangles which will face the 4th page when the leaf is folded twice is determined as a 5th page, and the rectangle on the reverse side which corresponds to the 5th page is determined as a 6th page.
