  • Patent number: 9463581
Abstract: The degree of kneading of a material to be kneaded is to be capable of being adjusted with a high accuracy. A kneading degree adjusting mechanism is installed in a processing apparatus having a barrel and a kneading screw inserted into the barrel rotatably, the kneading screw having a kneading section and rotating within the barrel to knead a material continuously while feeding the material from an upstream side toward a downstream side. The kneading degree adjusting mechanism includes a push-back section for pushing back the material to the upstream side and thereby making the material stay around the kneading section, the push-back section being disposed downstream of the kneading section in the kneading screw; a kneading degree adjusting member having an opposed surface opposed to an outer periphery surface of the push-back section; and a drive section for actuating the kneading degree adjusting member so that the opposed surface moves toward and away from the push-back section.

  • Patent number: 7677787
Abstract: A mixing degree adjusting device comprises a pair of spacer members arranged at a position sandwiching both round sectional portions of a pair of screws from both sides in the aligning direction of the pair of screws, and a pair of drawing members arranged as a position sandwiching both the round sectional portions from both sides in the orthogonal direction that is orthogonal to the aligning direction. The spacer members are movable between an adjusting position opposing to the round sectional portions, and a retracting position, when the screws are extracted from the barrel, for retracting to the outside until the passage of the screws is accepted. Opposing portions opposing to the round sectional portions at the time of moving to the adjusting position are formed in a substantially linear shape extending in parallel with the orthogonal direction seen from the axial direction of the screws.

  • Patent number: 5562358
Abstract: A device for clamping upper and lower rims to the respective upper and lower spindles of a tire uniformity machine. The device includes wedge component having an outer surface contacting the inner surface of a rim and a tapered inner surface contacting a similarly tapered surface of the spindle, is displaced axially relative to the tapered surface of the spindle. Such axial displacement is translated into a radial displacement of the wedge component as a consequence of the wedge effect between the tapered surface of the wedge component and tapered surface of the spindle. If the wedge component is displaced radially outward, its outer surface pushes against the inner surface of the rim and the rim is clamped through the frictional force between the inner surface of the rim and the outer surface of the wedge component.

  • Patent number: 5522714
Abstract: A driving mechanism for driving a gear pump of a dual drive type having two shafts comprises a reversing gear having a pair of output shafts which rotate respectively in opposite directions at the same rotating speed, and a pair of gear couplings connecting the gear pump to the reversing gear. One of the pair of gear couplings comprises: a shaft, a first coupling head disposed on one end of the shaft, and a second coupling head disposed on the other end of the shaft. The number z.sub.1 of teeth of the component external spur gears and internal spur gears of the first coupling head is not equal to the number z.sub.2 of teeth of the component external spur gears and internal spur gears of the second coupling head.
