Patent number: 11954867Abstract: A technique that automatically adjusts a motion given to a projection target using a perceptual model is provided. A motion vector generation apparatus includes a first parameter generation unit that generates a first parameter that is a parameter for scaling a motion vector based on a perceptual difference between a projection result reproduction image which is an image that is obtained when a projection target onto which a projection image obtained based on the motion vector has been projected is photographed and a warped image which is an image generated by distorting an image obtained when the projection target is photographed by a perceptual amount of motion perceived when the projection result reproduction image is viewed, and a motion vector reduction unit that scales the motion vector using the first parameter.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORPORATIONInventors: Taiki Fukiage, Shinya Nishida, Takahiro Kawabe

Patent number: 10972718Abstract: To allow an observer wearing stereoscopic equipment to perceive a stereo image and an observer not wearing stereoscopic equipment to perceive a clear image. Based on an original image, an image containing phase-modulated components a and an image containing phase-modulated components b are generated. The image containing phase-modulated components a and the image containing phase-modulated components b are for one who sees the original image or a subject represented by the original image and the image containing phase-modulated components a with one eye and sees the original image or the subject and the image containing phase-modulated components b with the other eye to perceive a stereo image, and one who sees the original image or the subject, the image containing phase-modulated components a, and the image containing phase-modulated components b with the same eye(s) to perceive the original image.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2017Date of Patent: April 6, 2021Assignee: NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORPORATIONInventors: Takahiro Kawabe, Taiki Fukiage, Shinya Nishida

Patent number: 10055873Abstract: An image processing device is equipped with an image input unit, an arithmetic operation unit, and an a value updating unit. The image input unit accepts a first input image and a second input image that a virtual image has been superimposed on the first input image at a first transmittance. The arithmetic operation unit calculates, by comparison between results of operations performed on a composite image obtained by adding values that the first input image and the second input image have been respectively multiplied by a second transmittance and a value that the second transmittance has been subtracted from 1 and on the first input image, a visibility value at the second transmittance. The ? value updating unit updates the second transmittance with a comparison between the visibility value and a target value. The arithmetic operation unit uses the updated second transmittance to recalculated the visibility value.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2015Date of Patent: August 21, 2018Assignee: THE UNIVERSITY OF TOKYOInventors: Katsushi Ikeuchi, Takeshi Oishi, Taiki Fukiage
