Abstract: An electromagnetic relay includes a case having an accommodating space that is open to an outside through an opening, and a base fitted into the case and closing the opening. The case or the base has a flame extinguishing hole for extinguishing a flame. The accommodating space accommodates a coil, a pair of fixed contactors and a movable contactor, and communicates with the outside through the flame extinguishing hole. A sealing member covers the flame extinguishing hole to make the accommodating space a sealed space and suppress intrusion of gas from the outside to an inside of the accommodating space. A moisture-absorbing member is arranged in the accommodating space to absorb water vapor within the accommodating space.

Abstract: A relay control device controls an operation of a relay circuit, which is disposed between a battery and an electric load, and the relay circuit is sealed in a case of a battery pack. The relay circuit includes: a first main relay disposed in a first conduction path which is connected to a first terminal of the battery; a second main relay disposed in a second conduction path which is connected to a second terminal of the battery; and a pre-charge relay connected to the second conduction path in parallel with the second main relay. The relay control device turns on the pre-charge relay, the first main relay, and the second main relay in order, and then turns off the pre-charge relay, the first main relay, and the second main relay in order.

Abstract: A press-fit fixing portion fixes a drive unit and a relay unit by press-fitting a claw portion and the recess portion. A sealing member is provided on an outside of the relay unit and the drive unit. An inner cover forms a sealed space for sealing an arc-extinguishing gas together with the sealing member. An electromagnetic relay is configured to make it possible both an adjustment of a press-fitting amount of the claw portion and the recess portion and an adjustment of the gap between a ceramic insulator at an end of a shaft and a movable element by making each of the relay unit and the drive unit in a manufacturing process to the same state as in when a magnetizing coil is energized.
