  • Patent number: 7212840
Abstract: Incoming call tones and program numbers as numbers used to specify respective incoming call tones are stored in a memory of a cellular phone so as to be set in correspondence to each other. The program numbers are used to specify corresponding incoming call tone melodies, data of which is stored in the memory. A control circuit of the cellular phone, whenever an incoming call is received, increments a value of a counter indicating the corresponding program number by one, and uses an incoming call tone corresponding to the program number corresponding to the value of the counter.

  • Patent number: 6269256
Abstract: A foldable portable telephone set is foldable so as to be conveniently carried, and allows a speech communication when it is open. A light-emitting portion which emits light when an incoming call is received, and a light-detecting portion which detects light from the light-emitting portion. When the telephone set is folded, the light-detecting portion can detect light from the light-emitting portion. When the telephone set is open, the light-detecting portion cannot detect light from the light-emitting portion. This foldable portable telephone set includes an automatic off-hook function. Hence, after light emission of the light-emitting portion is started when an incoming call is received, if light from the light-emitting portion is detected once by the light-detecting portion but is not detected by the light-detecting portion again immediately thereafter, the foldable portable telephone set automatically shifts to a speech communication mode even if speech communication start operation is not performed.

  • Patent number: 6243563
Abstract: A wireless device includes a switching portion which has a common switch (4) operated in both transmission and reception of radio signals and a reception dedicated switch (3) operated only in signal reception. A switch controller (11) is also included in the wireless device and controls the common switch to connect between the transmitting portion and one of the antennas that is selected and further controls the reception dedicated switch to separate the receiving portion from the common switch on signal transmission. The switch controller further controls both the common switch and the reception dedicated switch to connect between the receiving portion and one of the antennas that is designated on signal reception.

  • Patent number: 5808520
Abstract: A first bypass capacitor and a second bypass capacitor are connected in series between an input terminal and an output terminal for high frequency signals. A quart-wave line and a diode are connected between the connecting point of the first and second bypass capacitors and the ground, and a choke coil is connected between the connecting point and a D.C. voltage input terminal. When input signals are not to be attenuated, a D.C. voltage is fed from the D.C. voltage input terminal, and no D.C. voltage is fed when the signals are to be attenuated.

  • Patent number: 5797090
Abstract: A radio receiving apparatus includes a high-frequency amplifier, an intermediate-frequency amplifier, a reception electric field strength detector, and a control section. The high-frequency amplifier is connected to a signal line of a reception system for a radio signal and can be disconnected from the signal line. The intermediate-frequency amplifier is connected to the signal line on an output side of the first circuit element and can be disconnected from the signal line. The reception electric field strength detector detects the reception electric field level of a radio signal. The control section performs control to disconnect at least one of the first and second circuit elements from the signal line and also performs control to stop supplying power to the disconnected circuit element in accordance with the electric field level detected by the reception electric field strength detector.

  • Patent number: 5783975
Abstract: A circuit selection device includes a first terminal, a plurality of transmission lines, a plurality of second terminals, a plurality of loads for impedance matching, and a plurality of switches. An RF signal is input/output to/from the first terminal. Each transmission line has one end connected to the first terminal. Each of the second terminals is arranged in correspondence with the other end of each of the transmission lines to selectively input/output an RF signal input/output to/from the first terminal. Each load is arranged in correspondence with the other end of each of the transmission lines. Each switch is switched/connected to one of the second terminal and the load which correspond to the other end of each of the transmission lines. When one of the switches is switched to the second terminal side, the remaining switches are switched to the load side.

  • Patent number: 5758296
Abstract: A mobile telephone receiver, utilized in a cellular communications system, is provided with a group of IF bandpass filters which are arranged in parallel and which respectively have different passbands with each other. The IF filter group allows an incoming IF signal to be filtered out using one of the IF bandpass filters. A signal contamination determiner is operatively coupled to the IF filter group and detemines a degree of signal contamination by examining a signal which has passed through the IF. bandpass filter selected for filtering the incoming IF signal. The selector changes the selection of the IF bandpass filters according to the degree of signal contamination.

  • Patent number: 4785685
Abstract: The synthetic resin rack guide to be housed in a gear box of a rack and pinion type steering device for a vehicle. The rack guide includes a generally semi-cylindrical head, an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder. The generally semi-cylindrical head includes a semi-cylindrical concave surface which slidably contacts a back surface of a rack bar. The outer cylinder is separated from the inner cylinder by a circumferentially extending space and is divided into a plurality of sections in the circumferential direction by a plurality of slits which extend in parallel with an axis of the rack guide. Due to the provision of the slits, the outer cylinder can shrink radially inward when it is inserted into a rack housing with no clearance between them and when an interference between them is increased in proportion to an increase in ambient temperature. Thus, a locking of the rack guide with the rack housing is prevented and a smooth sliding is obtained even with the increase in ambient temperature.
