    Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and program for caching resources requested by applications. Resources requested by applications are cached, wherein the applications use the resources to access services. A capability set of at least one capability is associated with each resource group. A resource group includes at least one resource for accessing one service and the capability set associated with one resource group includes at least one capability for the resources in the resource group. A request for cached resources having a requested at least one capability is received from one of the applications. A determination is made of the one resource group associated with one capability set satisfying the requested at least one capability.
