  • Patent number: 8988597
Abstract: An imaging control device for controlling a facial image taking apparatus which radiates light from a light source to a face and takes an image of the face is disclosed. The imaging control device determines an intensity of environmental light and a degree of reflection by a pair of eyeglasses. When it is determined that the intensity of the environmental light is greater than or equal to a predetermined determination value and the degree of the reflection by the eyeglasses is greater than or equal to a predetermined determination value, the imaging control device sets an intensity of the light radiated from the light source to a predetermined intensity that makes states of eyes in the facial image recognizable.

  • Patent number: 8797394
Abstract: An in-vehicle face image detection apparatus operates as follows. A projector projects light. A capture controller settles a capturing condition to capture a predetermined region including a face of an occupant. A capturing portion captures the predetermined region based on the capturing condition. An environment light detection portion detects environment light radiated to the vehicle or occupant. An operation mode determination portion determines a first mode where intensity of the environment light is greater than a threshold or a second mode where the intensity is not greater than the threshold. A light emission pattern setup portion settles a light emission pattern for a light source of the projector based on the operation mode. A projector controller controls the projector to activate the light source based on the light emission pattern.

  • Patent number: 8767062
Abstract: A projection unit projects light to a predetermined projection region in which a user's face is supposed to be located. An imaging unit images a region including the projection region projected with light from the projection unit. A proximity detection unit detects that the user's face approaches the projection unit. A first projection control unit causes the projection unit to stop or dim projection of light when the proximity detection unit detects the approach of the user's face.

  • Publication number: 20130242073
Abstract: An image-capturing control apparatus includes a storage device, a calculation section, an obtaining section, and a compensating section. The storage device stores prepared relation data of prepared images of a target. Each prepared relation data indicates a relationship between information of a prepared luminance non-uniformity in corresponding one of the prepared images and a prepared capture distance. The calculation section calculates a current capture distance when a current image of the target is captured. The obtaining section obtains information of a target luminance non-uniformity from one of the prepared relation data when the current capture distance is equal to the prepared capture distance. The compensating section compensates a current luminance non-uniformity in the current image based on the information of the target luminance non-uniformity.
