  • Patent number: 11830260
Abstract: A personal identification system to be applied to a vehicle includes first and second display units, an imaging unit, a display image processor, and a personal identification processor. The first display unit is provided vehicle-widthwise halfway and vehicle-lengthwise in front of a driver's seat of the vehicle. The second display unit fronts onto the driver's seat. The imaging unit is provided on the outer periphery of the first display unit. The personal identification processor makes personal registration and personal identification of a driver seated on the driver's seat based on at least first and second facial images. The first facial image includes an image of the driver's face captured by the imaging unit with the driver's gaze directed toward the first display unit. The second facial image includes an image of the driver's face captured by the imaging unit with the driver's gaze directed toward the second display unit.

  • Publication number: 20220272269
Abstract: An occupant monitoring device for a vehicle includes a user interface module including a display that displays a screen for one or more occupants in the vehicle, and an imager that captures one or more images for monitoring the one or more occupants in the vehicle, an actuator that drives the module to change an orientation of the module, and a controller that executes identification control and/or registration control for the one or more occupants. The controller executes a first control to cause the actuator to change the module's orientation so that the imager's orientation becomes close to an orientation of an occupant who gets into the vehicle, and executes the identification control and/or the registration control for monitoring the one or more occupants in the vehicle with captured image data obtained by the imager in a case where the first control has been executed to change the imager's orientation.

  • Publication number: 20220207773
Abstract: A gaze calibration system includes first and second display units, an imaging unit, a display image processor, a calibration data generation processor, and a calibration processor. The first display unit is disposed vehicle-widthwise halfway and vehicle-lengthwise in front of a driver's seat of the vehicle. The second display unit fronts onto the driver's seat. The imaging unit is disposed on an upper portion of the outer periphery of the first display unit. The calibration data generation processor detects, from an image captured by the imaging unit, facial poses and gaze directions with gazes of a driver who drives the vehicle that are directed respectively toward the first and second display units, to generate calibration data. On the basis of the calibration data, the calibration processor makes calibration of the gaze directions.

  • Patent number: 7714223
Abstract: The reproduction device comprises a decoding section, a threshold calculating section, and a musical data output section. The threshold calculating section calculates an average amplitude level in a predetermined section of an end portion of first musical data generated by the decoding section, and calculates a threshold for detecting a silent portion of the end portion of the first musical data on the basis of the calculated average amplitude level. The musical data output section removes a silent portion between the first musical data and the second musical data and reproduces them so that a position nearest to the end position of the first musical data at an amplitude level which is the threshold or more is a reproduction ending position and so that a position near the leading position of the second musical data at an amplitude level which is the threshold or more is a reproduction starting position.
