Patent number: 10014756Abstract: An overlapping portion of an insulating portion formed in an annular shape is held between a workbench having a linear projection and an ultrasonic horn having a circular projection with at least part of the linear projection and of the circular projection opposed to each other and ultrasonically welded. In the ultrasonic welding, even though the ultrasonic horn under ultrasonic vibration rotates on the overlapping portion of the insulating portion, the area in the overlapping portion held between the linear projection and the circular projection with at least part of the linear projection and of the circular projection opposed to each other is not reduced after ultrasonic vibration is applied to the ultrasonic horn.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2014Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Assignee: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOYOTA JIDOSHOKKIInventors: Tatsuya Horiba, Shinichi Okuyama, Taizo Hirano, Minoru Mera, Hiroshi Fukasaku

Patent number: 9853514Abstract: Annular portions of a first interphase insulting sheet have void portions. After a U-phase coil is inserted in wave winding, bridge portions are mounted to slots for an adjacent V-phase coil. The void portions are formed at positions corresponding to the bridge portions that are disposed between any two of coil ends. The annular portions are stretched to form a generally pentagon shape, which facilitates mounting of the V-phase coil. The void portions formed at positions that do not need insulation will not impair the insulating function of the first interphase insulating sheet. The void portions formed in alignment with extension of the bridge portions will not cause a drop in the strength of the annular portions.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2015Date of Patent: December 26, 2017Assignee: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOYOTA JIDOSHOKKIInventors: Tatsuya Horiba, Hiroshi Fukasaku, Minoru Mera, Taizo Hirano, Shinichi Okuyama

Publication number: 20140127055Abstract: An interphase insulating sheet for a rotating electric machine includes a pair of insulating portions and a plurality of bridge pieces. The insulating portions perform interphase insulation between coil ends of coils protruding from both ends of a stator core. Each insulating portion has bridge bases. The bridge pieces are each inserted in one of slots. Each bridge piece extends from a bridge base of one of the insulating portions to a bridge base of the other insulating portion. Each insulating portion has an annular shape having stacked parts that include a bridge base and overlap with each other by a predetermined margin. In the circumferential direction of each insulating portion, the dimension of the stacked parts is set to be less than or equal to the dimension of the bridge pieces.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOYOTA JIDOSHOKKIInventors: Tatsuya HORIBA, Shinichi OKUYAMA, Taizo HIRANO, Hiroshi FUKASAKU

Patent number: 8602752Abstract: An electric compressor is disclosed in which gas in a motor housing of a rotating electric machine is drawn into a compression chamber and then discharged by the rotating electric machine. The rotating electric machine includes a stator, teeth, coils of different phases, and phase-to-phase insulation sheets provided between coils of different phases. An inlet port is provided in the motor housing. The inlet port draws gas from the outside of the motor housing. An inflow direction of the gas flowing through the inlet port intersects a coil end of one of the coils. A part of the phase-to-phase insulation sheet faces the inlet port and covers an intersection surface of the coil end that intersects the inflow direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2008Date of Patent: December 10, 2013Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyota JidoshokkiInventors: Tatsuya Horiba, Taizo Hirano

Publication number: 20120161571Abstract: A motor includes a rotor, a stator, an insulating member and a coil. The insulating member made of insulating films is inserted in a slot formed through a stator core of the stator. Cuff portions are formed in the coil-side insulating film by bending both ends thereof. An opening is formed in the coil-side insulating film at a region located at an intersection between a first bend line along which the coil-side insulating film is bent into a curved shape so as to fit the slot and a second bend line along which the coil-side insulating film is bent for forming the cuff portion. The stator core-side insulating film is laid on the coil-side insulating film such that the cuff portion overlaps a surface of the stator core-side insulating film on the stator core side and the stator core-side insulating film covers at least a part of the opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2011Publication date: June 28, 2012Applicant: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOYOTA JIDOSHOKKIInventors: Hiroshi FUKASAKU, Taizo HIRANO

Patent number: 7667363Abstract: Outer circumference of a rotor is alternately provided with a plurality of circumferential portions and a plurality of convex portions. Straight lines each connecting a rotational axis to one of circumferential centers of circumferential portions are referred to as radial lines. Straight lines each bisecting one of convex portions are referred to as bisectors. A plurality of magnetic flux blocking regions are located on a rotor. One of the magnetic flux blocking region is located in a range between the radial line and the bisector adjacent to and preceding the radial line in the rotation direction. Therefore, a permanent magnet embedment rotating electric machine is capable of preventing decreases in torque and suppressing torque ripple.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2007Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyota JidoshokkiInventors: Taku Adaniya, Tatsuya Horiba, Taizo Hirano, Kensuke Ikai, Minoru Mera

Publication number: 20080246364Abstract: A phase insulator for a stator of a motor insulates between stator coils. The stator has plural stator coils inserted in slots in a stator core. The phase insulator insulates stator coils from each other. The phase insulator includes insulating sheet portions and bridge portions. The insulating sheet portions are disposed at both end portions of the stator core for insulating between the coil ends of the stator coils. The insulating sheet portions are made of a first material. The bridge portions connect the insulating sheet portions. The bridge portions are inserted in the slots of the stator core. The bridge portions are made of a second material. The second material has higher elastic characteristics than the first material.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2008Publication date: October 9, 2008Inventors: Kiyoshi Uetsuji, Hiroshi Fukasaku, Taizo Hirano, Kensuke Ikai, Shozo Hamana
