  • Patent number: 11971345
Abstract: A smoke detector includes: a casing; a first light emitting unit; a second light emitting unit; and a light receiving unit. A second scattering angle that is an angle between the reception axis of the light receiving unit and a second extension extending from an intersection of the second emission axis and the reception axis in a direction away from the second light emitting unit is larger than a first scattering angle that is an angle between the reception axis of the light receiving unit and a first extension extending from an intersection of the first emission axis and the reception axis in a direction away from the first light emitting unit.

  • Patent number: 4545548
Abstract: A wire winding device pays out thin wires from a plurality of wire reels with the same tension in an orderly manner and winds them on a take-up bobbin. The winding device is comprised of a plurality of revolving shafts juxtaposed to one another on a base and supporting the reels on which the wires are coiled; a plurality of pulleys each two of which are mounted on respective one of the revolving shafts; a plurality of braking belts trained between the neighboring pulleys for producing sliding friction; the aforementioned take-up bobbin; and a winder having a revolving shaft on which the take-up bobbin is mounted.

  • Patent number: 4288183
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a tool holder including a driving cylinder, a driven cylinder reciprocatable and rotatable within the driving cylinder and attachable with a tool, first threaded means reciprocatable and rotatable together with the driven cylinder and having the same pitch as that of said tool, and second threaded means in threading engagement with the first threaded means and rotatable relative to and engageable with part of the driving cylinder to stop axial movement away from a workpiece and adapted to prevent its rotation relative to said first threaded means, such that the rotation of said first threaded means forces the tool to be advanced accurately with the same pitch as that of the tool.

  • Patent number: 4274768
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a tapping spindle including an automatic depth control. The spindle includes coaxial, telescoping driving and driven cylinders, and axial slot-like openings are formed in the cylinders. A slidable roller fits in the openings and normally engages the cylinders. The openings are shaped so that the roller disengages the cylinders upon sufficient relative axial movement thereof, and means is provided to adjust the depth at which the disengagement occurs. A spring is also provided to absorb shock when the tap begins to bite into the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4090806
Abstract: A driven cylinder is rotatably and reciprocatably mounted within a rotatable driving cylinder open at one end. The driving cylinder has a plurality of axial slots formed in its side wall. A clutch sleeve is secured to the driven cylinder inside the driving cylinder and has a plurality of axial grooves adapted to be aligned with the slots. The transverse top wall of the clutch sleeve is sloped upwardly from the leading edge of one groove to the trailing edge of the next groove. Each groove has an inner end opening towards the closed end of the driving cylinder. A ball is rotatably and reciprocatably mounted in the bottom of each groove and a roller is rotatably and reciprocatably mounted in each groove on top of the ball and extending out of the open end of the groove. The ball and roller in each groove also contact the edges of the aligned slot to transmit rotation from the driving to the driven cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4006994
Abstract: A tap chucking means is provided which is adapted to automatically stop rotation of a tap at a predetermined depth and to pull the tap out from the work by reversing the rotation of the spindle. A cylindrical body has a bore in one end in which a socket shaft is slidably and rotatably mounted. The socket shaft is adapted to mount a chuck at its exterior end and is resiliently biased into the body. A clutch pin passes transversely through the socket shaft and has beveled inner faces on both ends of the pin. A pair of drive pins are disposed along opposite sides of the socket shaft for engagement by the clutch pin and are axially slidable in axial grooves formed longitudinally in the mid-portion of the cylindrical body. The drive pins are resiliently biased towards the open end of the body.

  • Patent number: 3979925
Abstract: A mechanical shaft-coupling device fitted with at least one steel ball, inserted at the coupling part of driving and driven shafts, engages with both the driving and driven shafts under normal load to transmit normal torque but, shifts its position to cut the transmission with the driven shaft in over-loaded condition so that the driving shaft idles and no over-torque works on the driven shaft.
