Patent number: 7550678Abstract: In a plasma display module, a flexible substrate is strengthened and a mounting structure for alleviating stresses is provided, thereby preventing the metal fatigue of wirings. In a PDP (Plasma Display Panel) module, a metal plate and a flexible substrate constituting a driver module are provided. On the flexible substrate, wirings not connected to electrodes of the panel (independent linear patterns) are disposed on an outer side of wirings and near an edge portion of the metal plate to which the flexible substrate is attached.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2006Date of Patent: June 23, 2009Assignee: Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma Display LimitedInventors: Tomoyuki Kawamura, Taizo Ohno, Yoshinori Okada, Takashi Sasaki, Hideki Isohata, Kenji Ishiwata

Publication number: 20080054788Abstract: In a display panel having electrode wires connected to drive units, the electrode wires form N number of electrode wire groups, each of which is composed of M number of successive adjacent electrode wires, and the display panel has first and second connecting terminal groups, arranged along first and second sides of the panel respectively and each having M terminals. K number of electrode wire groups out of the N number of electrode wire groups (K<N) are connected via leading lines to the first connecting terminal groups respectively, N?K number of electrode wire groups out of the N number of electrode wire groups are connected via the leading lines to the second connecting terminal groups respectively, and the K number of electrode wire groups and the N?K number of electrode wire groups are arranged alternately or in alternate sets of a plurality of groups.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2007Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Nobuhiro Iwase, Yasuhiko Kunii, Koji Ohira, Yoshikazu Kanazawa, Taizo Ohno

Patent number: 7224329Abstract: A PDP apparatus of low power consumption and without erroneous malfunctions is equipped with a sustaining circuit that prevents an on/off timing shift and deterioration of a sustaining pulse produced thereby. Phase adjusting circuits, which adjust the timing of the changing edge of the sustaining pulse, are provided for the sustaining circuit; the power recovery circuit is of improved efficiency; and power consumption is reduced by optimizing the timing of a changing edge of the sustaining pulse The circuit devices used in the sustaining circuits are classified according to delay times and sets of the circuit devices are selected so that the timing of a changing edge of the sustaining pulse falls within a predetermined allowance, and the selected sets of the circuit devices are set to the PDP.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2000Date of Patent: May 29, 2007Assignee: Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma Display LimitedInventors: Makoto Onozawa, Michitaka Ohsawa, Kenji Ishiwata, Takeshi Kuwahara, Yoshikazu Kanazawa, Kenji Kimura, Hidenori Ohnuki, Taizo Ohno

Patent number: 6538382Abstract: A plasma display apparatus has an electronic circuit module including a rigid substrate attached to a chassis thereof and a flexible substrate partially overlapped with the rigid substrate. The rigid substrate has chips and the flexible substrate has a first portion with apertures for exposing the chips and bonding pads and a second portion positioned on the outside of the rigid substrate. Bonding wires connect terminals of the chips with the bonding pads of the flexible substrate. A reinforcing pattern or a dummy pattern is provided in at least the first portion of the flexible substrate. The reinforcing pattern provides for rigidity for the first portion of the flexible substrate for accurate positioning of the bonding pads relative to the chips.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2001Date of Patent: March 25, 2003Assignees: Fujitsu Limited, Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma Display LimitedInventors: Kenji Kimura, Takeshi Kawahara, Taizo Ohno, Satoshi Watanabe, Shigeo Iriguchi, Takayoshi Nakamura
