  • Patent number: 12258313
Abstract: A method for purifying cumene may include splitting an alkylation reaction product into a first portion and a second portion; feeding the first portion as mostly a liquid into a benzene column; at least partially vaporizing the second portion in a heater; feeding the at least partially vaporized second portion into the benzene column. A method for purifying cumene may also include the steps of providing a benzene column and a cumene column; directing a liquid side draw from the benzene column to the cumene column, the liquid side draw being a liquid substantially free of DIPB; returning a benzene enriched vapor from the cumene column to the benzene column using an overhead line, the benzene enriched vapor having a higher concentration of benzene than the liquid side draw; and drawing purified cumene from the cumene column.

  • Publication number: 20240264524
Abstract: An apparatus for applying an adhesive fluid onto a bonding surface during a bonding process includes a positioning table, a dispensing device, a stamping device and a switching member which are mounted on the positioning table. The dispensing device is configured to be positionable by the positioning table to dispense the adhesive fluid onto the bonding surface. The stamping device is configured to be positionable by the positioning table to stamp the adhesive fluid onto the bonding surface. The dispensing device and stamping device are operative to apply the adhesive fluid onto different bonding positions on the bonding surface. The switching member coupled to the stamping device is configured to move the stamping device to a first standby position when the dispensing device is dispensing the adhesive fluid and to a second standby position when the stamping device is stamping the adhesive fluid.

  • Patent number: 11707509
Abstract: A pharmaceutically acceptable insulin premix formulation contains about 0.1-10.0 Unit/mL of insulin for intravenous administration and preferably further contains a tonicity adjuster. The methods for making and using such formulation are also provided. The pharmaceutically acceptable insulin premix formulation may be aseptically filled into a flexible container assembly to form a pharmaceutical insulin premix product. The insulin premix product can be a sterile and ready-to-use aqueous solution for glycemic control in an individual with metabolic disorders through intravenous infusion. The insulin premix product is unexpectedly stable when freshly prepared and also during its shelf-life of storage at refrigeration temperatures of 2° C. to 5° C. for 24 months followed by additional 30 days at room temperatures of 23° C. to 27° C., even without any added preservative, any added zinc, any added surfactant or any other added stabilizing excipient.

  • Patent number: 11339108
Abstract: Methods and systems for preparing acetone from cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) are disclosed. The disclosed methods involve cleaving CHP to form a cleavage product stream. In some embodiments, the cleavage product stream is separated into an overhead stream and a bottoms stream. The bottoms stream is neutralized, washed and then treated in a crude acetone column to provide a crude acetone stream. The overhead stream of the cleavage product is flashed forward in the process, bypassing the neutralization, washing, and crude acetone column and is then combined with the crude acetone stream. The combined acetone streams are provided to an acetone product column. According to some embodiments, the acetone product column comprises a side draw for obtaining a recycle acetone stream, which is recycled to the cleavage reactor(s). The recycle acetone side draw may be located lower on the acetone product column than the point from which product acetone is obtained.

  • Patent number: 11001548
Abstract: Methods and systems for preparing acetone from cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) are disclosed. The methods and systems involve an acetone purification column configured to separate acetone from other components of the product/reactant stream. The acetone purification column is equipped with a side draw configured to route a portion of the column contents to a caustic treating vessel where the contents are reacted with a dilute aqueous alkaline solution to remove aldehydes from the acetone product. The contents of the caustic treating vessel are then routed back to the acetone purification column. Using a separate caustic treating vessel for the aldehydes removal provides increased contact time between the acetone product and the alkaline solution, thereby affording greater aldehydes removal.

  • Patent number: 10684118
Abstract: An apparatus for determining an orientation of a die mounted on a tape includes an imaging device, a light source and a conveying mechanism. The die is at least partially translucent and includes at least one orientation feature indicative of the orientation of the die. In use, the conveying mechanism conveys the tape to position the die at an inspection position between the imaging device and the light source. The light source projects light to the imaging device and the imaging device captures an image. The projected light from the light source passing through the die is obstructed by the at least one orientation feature of the die to cause the captured image to include an image of the at least one orientation feature, whereby the orientation of the die may be determined.
