    Abstract: A water- and oil-repellent composition including a copolymer having a repeating unit derived from a hydrophobic monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond and a hydrocarbon group having from 3 to 40 carbon atoms, and a repeating unit that is derived from a cyclic vinylidene monomer, which is a compound represented by formula (wherein X represents an aliphatic group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and Z represents at least one atom or group that is selected from a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and halogen atoms).
