    Abstract: An electromagnetic device and a high-voltage generating device which are thin and improved in the characteristics are provided in which a magnetic core is made of a cylindrical form of a ferrite material having a higher intrinsic resistance. A winding is provided by winding a flat rectangular wire conductor in an edge-wise winding form directly on substantially the entire length of the magnetic core. As any insulator such as a coil bobbin is not needed between the flat rectangular wire conductor and the magnetic core, the winding can be decreased in the overall size or thickness thus contributing to the dimensional reduction of the electromagnetic device. Also, as its flat rectangular wire conductor is wound directly on the magnetic core, the winding can be minimized in the length and thus the overall resistance. Moreover, as there is no gap between the winding and the magnetic core, the self-inductance can be reduced while the size and the number of turns of the winding remain unchanged.

    Abstract: In the setting operation conducted by the handle 90 which is an operating section, an upper portion of the portion 26a′ of the slidable T-post 26 is pushed by the end portion of the cam 90b, and the slidable T-post 26 is moved. In accordance with the movement of the card 26, the suction cup block 23 is elastically deformed, and the suction cup 23b is held by the body 24 by a holding force of the suction cup 23b. The body 24 is composed of a porous body, and air flows from the ventilation hole 29 into a space formed between the suction cup 23b and the body 24, via the body 24. The slidable T-post 26 is biased ahead by the return spring 27. When the releasing operation is conducted by the handle 90, the cam 90b is rotated, and the end portion of the cam 90b is separated from the end of the portion 26a′ to be pushed.

    Abstract: A sealed switch has a vessel defining therein a hermetically sealed space which receives a pair of fixed contacts and a movable contact bridging the fixed contact. The movable contact is movable between an ON-position of closing with the fixed contact and an OFF-position of separating from the fixed contacts. Hydrogen gas or hydrogen rich gas is filled in the sealed space in order to suppress arc development between the movable and fixed contacts. The plunger carries at its axial one end the movable contact and carrying at the other axial end an actuator which moves the plunger axially for movement of the movable contact from the OFF-position to the ON-position. An over-travel spring is provided to give a bias for moving the movable contact relative to the plunger in order to develop a contacting pressure between the movable and fixed contacts. The over-travel spring is supported to a spring holder secured to the plunger.

    Abstract: A circuit protecting sensor comprises a cylinder divided into two cylinder members with a common magnetic head interposed between them, one of which members contains a viscous fluid sealed therein and an oil plunger and the other member contains an operating plunger projecting partly out of the cylinder, and the respective plungers are biased by a spring normally away from the magnetic head. When a short-circuit current is detected by a coil wound on the cylinder, the operating plunger is immediately attracted by the magnetic head independently of the oil plunger prior to its attraction to the magnetic head.
