  • Patent number: 11908440
Abstract: [Problem] To provide an arpeggiator enabling musically natural arpeggio playing to be achieved, and a program comprising a function therefor. [Solution] In the present invention, a synthesizer 1 resets the number of octaves in an octave counter memory 12d to zero at the beginning of each bar when an octave reset function is on. Due to this configuration, sounds generated at the beginning of each bar, that is, when the step count is 0, all have the same note number. Consequently, a sound generation timing-based cycle of an arpeggio pattern of each bar can be synchronized with a pitch variation-based cycle, making it possible to give a listener the impression that a consistent phrase is being played.

  • Publication number: 20220375443
Abstract: [Problem] To provide an arpeggiator capable of creating a rich arpeggio performance that includes multiple pieces of performance information, and a program equipped with a function therefor. [Solution] When the key press mode for a sounding part is a chord, a synthesizer 1 acquires all note numbers from a remain table for the sounding part in a setting table 11e and stores all the note numbers in an Arp note memory 12b. This allows all the notes corresponding to the note numbers set in the remain table to be concurrently generated at the sounding time set in an Arp pattern. That is, an expressive arpeggio based on a chord made up of all the notes corresponding to the note numbers set in the remain table can be produced.

  • Publication number: 20220343884
Abstract: [Problem] To provide an arpeggiator capable of suppressing sound muddiness caused by simultaneous production of sounds in a multi-arpeggiator capable of automatically playing arpeggios in a plurality of performance parts, and a program provided with the function of the arpeggiator. [Solution] A synthesizer 1 decreases velocity in velocity memory 12c in accordance with a duck rate when the time of sound production for a sound production part is the same as the time of sound production for a duck part, and at that time of sound production, a note number of the duck part is the same as a note number of a duck note. This makes it possible to suppress muddiness of output sound, since an increase in output level is suppressed even when a plurality parts produce sound at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20220335916
Abstract: In a synthesizer 1, the highest note number is set from the allowed Oct width and the lowest note number of a sound production part in a setting table 11e, and if the note number of an Arp note memory 12b is not between the lowest note number and the highest note number, the note number of one octave unit is added to or subtracted from the note number of the Arp note memory 12b. Consequently, the note number of the Arp note memory 12b is corrected to the pitch range between the lowest note number and the highest note number, and thus can be corrected to the sound production pitch range of the timbre of the sound production part, and arpeggios can be outputted using sounds that are more appropriate for an instrument of said timbre.

  • Publication number: 20220301527
Abstract: An automatic musical performance device includes: a storage part, storing musical performance patterns; a musical performance part, performing musical performance on the basis of the musical performance patterns stored in the storage part; an input part, to which musical performance information is input a setting part, setting a mode as to whether to switch the musical performance; a selection part, selecting a musical performance pattern estimated to have a maximum likelihood among the musical performance patterns stored in the storage part on the basis of the musical performance information input to the input part when a mode of switching the musical performance by the musical performance part is set by the setting part; and a switching part, switching at least one musical expression of the musical performance pattern played by the musical performance part to a musical expression of the musical performance pattern selected by the selection part.

  • Patent number: 8207439
Abstract: A musical tone signal processing apparatus configured to extract musical tone signals that are signal processed for a plurality of localizations. Such an apparatus may be configured to carry out signal processing for signals that have been extracted by first retrieving processing (S100) and/or second retrieving processing (S200). The first retrieving processing (S100) and the second retrieving processing (S200) extracts a musical tone signal (e.g., the left channel signal and the right channel signal) that satisfies each of the conditions that have been set (e.g., frequency, localization, and maximum level) as the extraction signal. Accordingly, the extraction signal can be extracted to allow the musical tone signal processing apparatus to signal process the extraction signal for each of the plurality of conditions.

  • Patent number: 8129606
Abstract: A musical tone signal processing apparatus configured to freely expand or contract an acoustic image. A setting means may set a second reference localization, a first function that stipulates expansion of the boundary of one end of a direction range, and a second function that stipulates expansion of the boundary of an other end of said direction range. In addition, an output direction indicated by localization information of an extraction signal that exists in the direction range in which the conditions have been set in this manner is shifted by an acoustic image scaling means. The acoustic image in said direction range is expanded or contracted accordingly. In other words, the acoustic image formed by the extraction signal is expanded or contracted by shifting the output direction for each extraction signal extracted from within the direction range.

  • Patent number: 8124864
Abstract: A user interface apparatus for displaying areas having vocal or instrumental unit signals that are included in an input musical tone signal. Display locations, for display on a display screen that has a localization-frequency plane, are calculated for the input musical tone signal based on localization information of each frequency band. Then, the primary level distributions, in which the levels of the frequency band corresponding to each display location are expanded and obtained using a specified distribution in each of the frequency bands, is calculated. The secondary level distribution is calculated in this manner by aggregating the frequency bands for each respective display location. Said secondary level distribution is displayed in three dimensions (the localization axis, the frequency axis, and the level axis) and viewed from the level axis direction. Therefore, the areas, in which the vocal or instrumental units exist in a grouped state, can be easily identified.
