Abstract: A multifiber connector comprises a ferrule having a pair of pin holes formed therethrough at a predetermined distance from each other for receiving guide pins, respectively, in such a manner that a predetermined length of each guide pin is projected from the ferrule in a direction of butt-connection, and a regulating member arranged at the rear of the ferrule for regulating the lengths of projection of the guide pins, wherein the ferrule and the regulating member are contained in a housing. A pin retaining member having elasticity is arranged between the ferrule and the regulating member and has a center opening. The pin retaining member also has a pair of slits corresponding in position to the respective pin holes, or a slit and a retaining hole corresponding in position to the respective pin holes. The pair of slits or the slit and the retaining hole are located on opposite sides of the opening.
