The surface treating device can be assembled with ease by causing a distal end of the annular engaging member to forcibly fit an end of the treating portion into the annular groove to engage it integrally with the engaging structure.

    Abstract: A light conducting plate for a surface light source device wherein a linear light source is disposed at a light entrance edge at at least one end of a light conducting plate whose one surface is provided with a reflecting layer and whose other surface is defined as a light-emitting surface. The light of the linear light source is scattered within the interior of the light conducting plate by the reflecting layer and emitted from the light-emitting surface. The light conducting plate for a surface light source device is constituted by forming the reflecting layer by moving a bit along the surface of the light conducting plate to be formed with the reflecting layer while pressing it thereon at a negative rake angle to continuously form hole-like pits of random depth and width by fracturing of the surface to be formed with the reflecting layer as a result of exceeding its elastic limit, and forming a plurality of the pit rows in which the pits are continuously aligned.

    Abstract: A washing liquid jet device for an automobile window glass is disclosed, which comprises a first pumping unit for pumping a liquid in a first vessel, a second pumping unit for pumping a liquid in a second vessel, and a joining chamber having a first flow path and a second flow path. A unidirectional valve is provided at each of the joining chamber inlets of the flow paths such that it permits flow of liquid into the chamber but blocks the flow of liquid out of the chamber. A discharge side flow path of the first pumping unit is connected to the first flow path of the joining chamber, the discharge side flow path of the second pumping unit is connected to the second flow path of the joining chamber, and the outlet of the joining chamber is connected to one end of a feed-out duct, the other end of which is connected to a jet nozzle.
