    Abstract: To provide a thin wideband antenna unit capable of shrinking the size of a radiation element in a case where a dielectric is not used. The radiation element 14 and the ground plate 12 are apart from each other by a predetermined feeding distance ?FD. A ratio between an outside diameter 2aout in an ellipse's x-direction and an outside diameter 2bout in an ellipse's y-direction is 8:5. The elliptically shaped radiation element 14 has an elliptically shaped opening 14a which is concentric O with the elliptically shape. An inside diameter 2bin in the ellipse's y-direction is half of an outside diameter 2bout in the ellipse's y-direction.

    Abstract: Boron-substituted graphite, which contains N-bonded boron atoms in a small proportion relative to whole substituted boron atoms, is produced by heating a feed fine particulate mixture of an infusibilized carbonaceous material and a boron compound such that the carbonaceous material is carbonized into a carbon structure, raising a temperature of the resulting heated fine particulate mixture promptly to a graphitization treatment temperature in an inert atmosphere unreactive with boron, retaining the graphitization treatment temperature for a time sufficient to allow graphitization of the carbon structure to proceed to a desired extent, and then quickly cooling the resulting graphitized mixture. The boron-substituted graphite is useful as a negative electrode in a lithium-ion secondary battery.

The concentration of the chlorinated aromatic compound in the exhaust gas is measured and the operating temperature of the bag filter is adjusted based on the measured concentration of the chlorinated aromatic compound in order to decrease the concentration of the chlorinated aromatic compound in the exhaust gas.

A switch (26) or light sensor or other actuation device is mounted in or on the base and is coupled to a circuit board (28) also disposed in the base. The switch is open and the circuit is inactive when lid (24) rests atop base (22), but the switch closes when the lid is opened to activate the circuit board. In the alternative a manual switch, such as a press-button switch, may be used to activate the replay function.
