    Abstract: Provided is a connector capable of facilitating a work of connecting first and second connection targets. A first receiving part to be coupled to a first plug connector and a second receiving part to be coupled to a second plug connector are formed at the housing of a relay connector which electrically connects the first and second plug connectors to be mounted on a chassis. The housing is provided with a contact which establishes conduction between the first plug connector coupled to the first receiving part and the second plug connector coupled to the second receiving part. The housing comprises a housing body having the first and second receiving parts, and a hook provided at the housing body to engage with a hole provided in the chassis.

    Abstract: In a connector to be connected to a connection object, a housing holds at least one contact to be contacted with the connection object and a switch for detecting whether the connection object is in a connected state or an unconnected state. The switch includes a first conductive member and a second conductive member. The first conductive member includes a first spring portion which is elastically deformable and extends in a first direction to have a free end, a conductive member abutting portion which is formed at the free end of the first spring portion and adapted to the abutted to the connection object in the connected state in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a first contact point which is connected to the first spring portion. The second conductive member includes a second contact point faced to the first contact point in the second direction.

    Abstract: In a connector provided with a main body including a plurality of contacts arranged in parallel in a first direction and a housing holding the contacts, an operating member is coupled to the main body and is rotatable between an open position at which a connection object is allowed to be inserted into the main body and a closed position at which the contacts are contacted to the connection object. The operating member has a rib inserted between adjacent ones of the contacts and a recessed portion adjacent to the rib in a rotating direction. The housing has a protruding portion to be inserted into the recessed portion when the operating member is at the open position. The rib at least partially approaches the protruding portion when the operating member is at the closed position.

The FPC is tightly held between the housing and an actuator (18) which has a pivot portion (18c) pivotally held to the housing and a locking portion (18e) making engagement with the housing in a state of tightly holding the FPC. The locking portion is spaced from the pivot portion with a first distance. The first distance is determined greater than a second distance which is determined between the pivot portion and a distal edge (18d) of the actuator.
