Patent number: 7563127Abstract: A connector for a vehicular AC generator includes a resin connector case having an element-accommodating chamber in which a leaded circuit element having a pair of leads at opposite ends is received. The leads are bent at right angles and soldered at respective tip end portions to element connecting terminals of wiring metal pieces embedded in the connector case. The element-accommodating chamber is filled with an elastic sealing resin. The right-angled leads take up or absorb the difference in thermal expansion between the connector case and the circuit element including the leads. The elastic sealing resin prevents a crack from occurring at an interface boundary between the circuit element and the leads and offers an improved environmental resistance.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2007Date of Patent: July 21, 2009Assignee: Denso CorporationInventor: Takaaki Kurahashi

Patent number: 7387551Abstract: A connector case has a connector part, a terminal, and a resin case. The connector part of a concave shape accommodates external connection terminals. One end of the terminal is the external connection terminal. The terminal is inserted in the resin case by insert molding. The connector part, the terminal, and the resin case are integrated in one body. A part of the terminal other than the external connection terminal is exposed to the outside of the resin case as a resin case terminal. The resin case has a resin injection part of a concave shape accommodating a middle part of the terminal between the external connection terminal and the resin case terminal, namely, the middle part is exposed in the resin injection part and is filled with an encapsulating resin completely.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2006Date of Patent: June 17, 2008Assignee: Denso CorporationInventor: Takaaki Kurahashi

Patent number: 6933635Abstract: A rectifying unit has two heat radiation fins to which positive-electrode side and negative-electrode side rectifying elements are fixed respectively. A terminal platform having a connecting terminal provides wiring for the positive-electrode side rectifying element and the negative-electrode side rectifying element. Two heat radiation fins are disposed in a radial direction with respect to a rotary shaft of the rotor. The negative-electrode side heat radiation fin is interposed between the frame and the positive-electrode side heat radiation fin, and is partly overlapped with the positive-electrode side heat radiation fin in the direction of the rotary shaft. An inner radius of the negative-electrode side heat radiation fin is smaller than an outer radius of the cooling air inlet window.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2004Date of Patent: August 23, 2005Assignee: Denso CorporationInventor: Takaaki Kurahashi

Patent number: 6674203Abstract: In a stator of a vehicle rotary electric machine, a stator winding includes U-shaped conductor segments having a pair of straight portions disposed in a pair of slots spaced apart at a fixed pitch in layers. Each U-shaped conductor segment has a generally rectangular cross section and a width to fit the slot. The U-shaped conductor segments are formed of large size U-shaped conductor segments and small size U-shaped conductor segments, and each of the large size U-shaped conductor segments has a pair of straight portions disposed at radially opposite ends of the layers and have corners whose radius is larger than corners of the small size U-shaped conductor segments. Therefore, it is easy to form rounded corners at portions of the stator winding thereby to provide uniform insulation coating at surfaces of the stator winding exposed to foreign particles.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2002Date of Patent: January 6, 2004Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Takaaki Kurahashi, Hiroshi Ishida
