  • Patent number: 9339218
Abstract: A concentration measuring device having a spot-application region, and a configuration capable of measuring the concentration of an object component in the sample liquid dropped on the spot-application region, the concentration measuring device including: a light irradiation device, which is provided on a side below the spot-application region, for emitting an irradiation light having a wavelength absorbable by a coloring matter in the dropped sample liquid. The irradiation light passes through the spot-application region, thereby the sample liquid dropped on the spot-application region is irradiated with the irradiation light from the side below the spot-application region. As a result, a non-covered region in the spot-application region can be easily found by visual observation. The spot-application region is composed of, for example, a through hole formed on the supporting film and a separation membrane that blocks the through hole.

  • Patent number: 6993444
Abstract: A measuring method of determining component concentration in a solution by calculating component concentrations in the solution at various temperatures in a small number of steps. The component concentration is measured at an arbitrary temperature T by using a solution absorbance spectrum and solvent absorbance spectrum at a plurality of wavelength(s)r, and preliminarily determining a calibration coefficient Mij (TO). Concentration of Ci of component i in solution at reference temperature TO, is obtained at differential spectrum of solution spectrum S (?j, T) at temperature T in j-th wavelength ?j and solvent spectrum B (?j, T) at temperature T in j-th wavelength ?j, calculating calibration coefficient Mij (TO) the specific component concentrations.

  • Patent number: 5200706
Abstract: A device for measuring ionic concentration in a sample liquid, having a detachable waterproof electrode housing. A body member has a computing device disposed therein and a display panel on an exterior surface. The waterproof electrode housing is demountably coupled to the body member. The electrode housing includes a flat surface sensor capable of measuring ionic concentration of the sample liquid when the device is placed on a flat surface, and is waterproof for measuring ionic concentration by immersion. A gap is formed between the body and the flat surface for preventing water from entering the body when the flat surface ionic concentration measurement procedure is being conducted.

  • Patent number: 4745358
Abstract: The direction of change of an analog signal which is digitally displayed on a digital display can be immediately determined at a glance by providing a change-display in the vicinity of the digital display, which digitally displays the analog signal value. The change-display displays whether the analog input signal is increasing or decreasing by comparing the present value of the input signal with a previous value thereof. This comparison may be effected by integrating the input signal and comparing the integrated input signal with the input signal or by differentiating the input signal or by using a sample and hold circuit to hold a previous input signal value which is then compared with the present input signal value.
