Abstract: An operation input device includes: input and output means for detecting light corresponding to a plurality of operation inputs to a display screen displaying an image from an outside; target generating means for generating information of a target indicating a series of inputs on the basis of a temporal or spatial positional relation of input portions having been subjected to the input from the outside; lost data holding means for holding a lost target when the target generated by the target generating means is temporarily lost; unreliable data deleting means for deleting an unstable target when the unstable target is generated by the target generating means; and process selecting means for selecting one of a process performed by the lost data holding means and a process performed by the unreliable data deleting means.
