    Abstract: The writing instrument is equipped with the foldable boarding including plural boards foldably connected through the predetermined hinge part and other hinge parts and is capable of transforming between the flat form and the tridimensional form. As for the writing instrument like this, in the flat form, the foldable boarding doubled up along the predetermined hinge part forms a plate-like shape together with the holder which holds the writing unit. On the other hand, in the tridimensional form, the foldable boarding folded along the other hinge parts covers both principal surfaces of the holder to form a prismatic penholder by moving the predetermined hinge part to the vicinity of the specific side surface of the holder. Consequently, the writing instrument is capable of transforming from the flat form to the tridimensional form which gives a good grip feeling.

    Abstract: The umbrella is equipped with a lower ring and upper ring pivotally attached to the bases of each rib and each stretcher, and a main shaft part including an interior pole which is fixed to the upper ring in the upper part, and a circular pipe which is connected to the lower ring in the upper part and is slidably inserted outside of the interior pole. At the opening/closing motion of the umbrella, in response to the umbrella closing operation (umbrella opening operation) to an operation part provided in the lower part of the umbrella, the circular pipe which extends toward the operation part is driven in the direction in which the lower ring approaches (separates from) the upper ring. Consequently, the umbrella opening operation and umbrella closing operation using a single hand become possible in a simple structure.

Each pinion has a planetary gear engaged with the sun gear, and planetary gears having the number of teeth different from that of that planetary gear. Each internal gear engaged with these planetary gears can perform a independent rotating motion by the rotation of the input shaft. The braking force is selectively applied to the rotating motion of each internal gear by pressing breaking part by the actuator in selecting a gear for gearshift. Here, the braking force is gradually increased to stop the rotating motion. As a result, the a power interrupter becomes unnecessary and the miniaturization of the transmission can be attained.
