  • Publication number: 20140191224
Abstract: An organic transistor is provided with: an insulating substrate; a pair of insulating pedestals (2, 3) that are arranged spaced apart from each other on the substrate and that form respectively raised flat surfaces; a source electrode (4) provided on the raised flat surface formed on one of the pedestals; a drain electrode (5) provided on the raised flat surface formed on the other pedestal; a gate electrode (6) provided on the substrate between the pair of pedestals; and an organic semiconductor layer (7) arranged in contact with the upper surfaces of the source electrode and the drain electrode. The gate electrode and the lower surface of the organic semiconductor layer vertically oppose each other across a gap region (8), and the side surfaces of the pedestals facing the gap region are shaped such that the lower side edges recede apart from the gate electrode with respect to the upper side edges.

  • Publication number: 20120313129
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to realize an OLED capable of attaining high luminescence luminance and easy to manufacture. An organic electroluminescence device (1) of the present invention includes a luminescent layer (7) between an anode (3) and a cathode (9). The luminescent layer (7) contains an organic luminescent material. The organic electroluminescence device includes: a hole transportation layer (6) formed between the anode (3) and the luminescent layer (7); a metal nano particle layer between the anode (3) and the hole transportation layer (6), the metal nano particle layer being a layer in which metal nano particles (5) are dispersedly distributed. The metal nano particle layer is such that gaps between the metal nano particles (5) dispersedly distributed are filled with a hole transportation material. The metal nano particles (5) causes resonance with excited electrons in the luminescent layer (7), thereby reinforcing the luminescence by surface plasmon.

  • Publication number: 20120193618
Abstract: A raw material solution containing an organic semiconductor material and a solvent is supplied onto a substrate 1 and dried, forming an organic semiconductor film 4. A contact member 7 is used, which is provided with multiple contact faces 6a for contacting the raw material solution. The contact member is positioned such that the contact faces have a certain relationship with the surface of the substrate, and multiple droplets 3 of the raw material solution is formed on the substrate, thereby establishing a droplet-retaining state, in which the contact faces retain the respective droplets. The solvent is evaporated to form organic semiconductor films at the locations on the surface of the substrate that correspond to the multiple contact faces. The method can be performed with simple solution processes and can produce organic semiconductor films of high charge mobility.
