  • Patent number: 5817958
Abstract: Plant operating conditions 1, apparatus operating conditions 2 and environment conditions 3 are accumulated, combined and put together as a set of plant status variables 8 through a monitor 6, while water chemistry information 4 is accumulated as another set of plant status variables 9. The set of status variables 8 is updated and the past data are accumulated in the set of status variables 9. Periodical inspection data 5 are also accumulated in the set of status variables 9 along with the water chemistry information 4. The set 9 is compressed and stored as a plant chart 11 such as a personal clinical chart. A status variable prediction 12 is performed in consideration of the personality of a plant. Both data of the sets 8 and 10 are compared with each other by comparison means 13. If both the data nearly coincide with each other, the plant is diagnosed to the normal and, if not, it is diagnosed to be abnormal.

  • Patent number: 5748496
Abstract: A diagnosis system having sensors for supervising a plant, signal processors for processing signals of the sensors, and a state quantity arithmetic operation unit. The state quantity arithmetic operation unit calculates a quantity of state expressing the environment of the plant on the basis of supervisory information inputted through the signal processors. A state quantity prediction unit predictively calculates a quantity of state after a predetermined time on the basis of the quantity of state, supervisory information and a time change of the quantity of state inputted through the state quantity arithmetic operation unit. A future event prediction unit predicts a future event on the basis of predicted information of the quantity of state inputted through the state quantity prediction unit. An image information processor converts the quantity of state given by the state quantity arithmetic operation unit into image information and indicates the image information on a display unit.

  • Patent number: 5581242
Abstract: An alarm system in a plant for outputting a plurality of alarms with respect to devices constituting the plant and monitor information with respect to the devices. In the system, there is provided a unit for storing a table for correspondingly relating a plurality of alarm items to suppression reason items indicating that the display of the alarms can be suppressed. A generated alarm item and a generated event are specified by receiving the plurality of alarms and monitor information. A decision is made by reference to the table as to whether the generated alarm suppression reason item exists in the monitor information, the kind of generated alarm, and the generated event for each generated alarm item. An instruction is given to a display unit to suppress the display of alarms in which a decision is made that the suppression reason item exists.

  • Patent number: 5317606
Abstract: This invention relates to an automation system for nuclear power plants. This system comprises operation plan making means, supervisory control means, and control means for controlling controlled objects. The operation plan making means makes a new operation plan to restore a normal operating condition which existed before the plant condition deviated from the normal operation range. The supervisory control means outputs control commands according to an operation plan under abnormal condition when the plant operating condition deviates from the normal operation range. Furthermore, the supervisory control means outputs control commands according a new operation plan prepared by the operation plan making means after an operation according to an operation plan under abnormal condition has been finished. The control means for controlling controlled objects controls the controlled objects according to control commands output from the supervisory control means.

  • Patent number: 4263654
Abstract: A system for determining the normal operating value of at least one type of power plant data corresponding to the presently operating step of an operating plant first determines the present operation step of the plant, such as a nuclear power plant, by detecting at least one type of plant data, such as the reactor power, and then determines the normal value of at least one type of plant data, such as the main stream flow, the feedwater flow or the generator power in response to the presently determined operation step of the plant.

  • Patent number: 4149155
Abstract: A standard picture such as a circle, of which the magnitude can be varied in response to the present value of a main plant data signal (or significant data), is displayed in a picture-plane of a display means. The present values of a large amount of plant data being monitored is displayed along the above-mentioned standard picture. When all of the plant data represents the normal state to the present value of the significant data, a picture constructed by plotting spots which indicates the plant data in a picture plane of display means, may be identified with the standard picture. Thus, the present value of the significant data can be determined by the magnitude of the standard picture, and whether the plant state is normal or abnormal can be determined by the picture constructed by plotting the spots of the plant data.
