  • Patent number: 5667164
Abstract: The axial length of a center roller (subroller) (30) is made shorter than the axial length of a main roller (28), and the center roller (30) is placed so that an axis of the center roller (30) is parallel to an axis of the main roller (28) in a base position and so that a nipping pressure is generated in the center position in the axial direction of the main roller (28). A film (sheet) (20) is thereby subjected to a tension in the center portion thereof due to the pulling force of the center roller (30), and the feeding amounts of the film (20) at the left and right portions therefore vary relative to each other. The film (20) thus displaces in the axial direction of the main roller (28) around the center roller (30).

  • Patent number: 5385317
Abstract: A film receptacle for winding a long length of film including a film box having an entrance for admitting a film and a winding member provided in the film box. The winding member including a curled holding portion for winding the film admitted through the entrance and holding for a roll of the film thus wound. The holding portion has a resilience to an expanding force of the film roll in the holding portion, and the resilience is such that the increase in the radius of curvature of the holding portion when the film is wound one turn in the holding portion is substantially equal to the thickness of the film. Thus, newly entering film is wound over the roll of the already wound film, and no slip or friction occurs within the film roll, which facilitates continuous admission of a long length of film at a constant force.

  • Patent number: 5092140
Abstract: A washing machine installed with a brushless motor for driving an agitator and an inner tub includes a storage device storing a data table representative of a plurality of preselected rotational speed values and values of voltage applied to the brushless motor driven at each preselected speed with respect to every different load applied to the brushless motor, a load amount determining device, a control device determining the voltage applied to the motor based on the data table when one preselected speed is selected with an operating switch. An amount of load is determined when one preselected speed is selected. A suitable value of applied voltage is selected which value has a predetermined relation to the preselected speed selected in the condition of the determined amount of load. The amount of load is determined by collating the load amount and the number of revolution with the data table.

  • Patent number: 5056145
Abstract: This invention relates to a digital sound data storing device wherein analog sound data is synthesized from digital sound data. The device includes a case and an IC card detachably attached to the case. A plurality of digitized sound data groups are stored at a built-in memory of the IC card. The digitized sound data groups are obtained by recording sentences for foreign language conversation practice through a microphone to thereby obtain analog sound signal which is converted to digital sound signal. When the IC card is attached to the case, a signal processing circuit operates to read out the digital sound data group, which is converted to the analog sound signal. The analog sound signal is supplied to an amplifying circuit and reproduced as sound.

  • Patent number: 5042155
Abstract: An image forming member, e.g. a pen or a cutter (for cutting image patterns), which member requires to be lowered onto and applied with a given pressure to a writing surface, is controlled in two modes. In a position control mode, the image forming member is controlled by means of a closed loop circuit by which it is lowered and positioned at a very small distance off of the writing surface. In accordance with a second, pressure control mode, the image forming member is controlled by means of an open loop circuit. With the aid of the open loop circuit the member is lowered and then applied with a given pressure to the writing surface. Thus, accurate and rapid controlling of such an image forming member is achieved.
