  • Publication number: 20030115026
Abstract: A product design CAD data reconstruction unit 50 reconstructs product design CAD data used for product evaluation regarding an initial design so as to fulfill restrictive conditions obtained from the product evaluation based on a product structure for the initial design. The reconstructed product design CAD data is stored in a product design CAD data database 90. Upon reception of a corrected design obtained by correcting the initial design, the product design CAD data for the initial design is read from the product design CAAD data database 90, and the product design CAD data is corrected along a design surface of the corrected design.

  • Publication number: 20030111573
Abstract: In a bobbin fixing device, a collet type chuck having claw members is mounted to the upper portion of a rotary hollow shaft and a bobbin slip-off preventing member 27 which comprises a substantially U-shaped claw expansion portion having arcuate projection portions for expanding the interval between the above claw members is inserted between the claw members of the above collet type chuck to secure a bobbin to the rotary shaft without fail at the time of winding off a wire material and facilitate the exchange of the bobbin. The claw expansion portion of the bobbin slip-off preventing member is fitted in guide grooves formed in the claw members to expand the interval between the claw members so as to press the upper end portions of the bobbin and rotatably hold the bobbin when the bobbin is to be mounted and holding force is not applied to the bobbin by taking out the bobbin slip-off preventing member when the bobbin is to be exchanged.

  • Publication number: 20030112520
Abstract: An anti-glare film comprising an anti-glare layer is obtained by coating or casting a liquid composition containing a polymer, a curable resin precursor (e.g., an ultraviolet curable resin) and a solvent, on a transparent plastic film; evaporating the solvent; forming a phase separation structure by spinodal decomposition; and curing the curable resin precursor by a light irradiation to form the anti-glare layer. Thus obtained anti-glare layer has an uneven structure on the surface thereof, isotropically transmits and scatters an incident light to show the maximum value of the scattered light intensity at a scattering angle of 0.1 to 10°, and has the total light transmittance of 70 to 100%. Moreover, the anti-glare layer has the visibility of a transmitted image of 70 to 100% measured by an image clarity measuring apparatus provided with an optical slit of 0.5 mm width, and the haze of 20 to 50%. Abrasion resistance is imparted to the anti-glare layer by curing the curable resin precursor.

  • Publication number: 20030111868
Abstract: A pickup truck has a rear vehicle body structure in which a fuel piping system is guided through a rear wheel apron along a cargo bed of the vehicle. A reinforcing member is jointed to the rear wheel apron such as to cover a part of the apron at which a hose of the fuel piping system is led out onto the cargo bed. A lower end of the reinforcing member is bent toward the vehicle body center to form a flange. The rear wheel apron and the rear floor panel are jointed together, with a side edge of the rear floor panel being superposed on the flange of the reinforcing member. The linking strength between the rear wheel apron and the cargo bed of the vehicle is thereby increased without adding any major change in the body design. While the rigidity around the rear wheel apron is improved, the structure does not inhibit the vehicle body from being deformed in a rear impact collision and is capable of protecting the fuel piping system from the impact.

  • Publication number: 20030112509
Abstract: A 3-D viewing system is disclosed that enables multiple operators to share a common objective element while readily adjusting the orientation of images that are displayed to one or more moveable display units. The orientation of images that are displayed at a movable display unit can be made to automatically depend on the position/orientation of the display unit. Thus, greater freedom in viewing postures is provided than previously available in 3-D viewing systems that share a common objective element, and each operator may view a 3-D image with proper perspective for his position/orientation. In order to reduce the number of optical components, the need to adjust optical components, and reduce costs, images from at least two different optical perspectives may be time-division multiplexed onto a single optical detecting device.

  • Publication number: 20030111439
Abstract: In the method, a substrate is coated with different films to be patterned. These films have different etch rates. The films and substrate are then coated with a primary etch mask, and subsequently patterned to produce an electrode that has a gradual taper at the electrode edge. The formed electrode eliminates any abrupt substrate to electrode step, so that any subsequent thin-film deposition of piezoelectric material is continuous over the entire electrode surface and the electrode/substrate interface.

  • Publication number: 20030111173
Abstract: This invention provides joining methods of single veneer piece and a joining apparatus, which can produce more efficient, and effective joining process than the conventional method and apparatus produce. In the process of carrying a single veneer piece (T) in the orthogonal direction against the joining edge (Te) on the conveyor, the joining edges of the preceding and succeeding single veneer pieces come close together, the adhesive material (Sd) is supplied to the clearance between the joining edges, and then the adhesion enhancing action is supplied to the said adhesive material (Sd) to join each single veneer piece (T) successively. The adhesion enhancing action can be applied within the adhesion enhancing section as indicated by lines (Z1) and (Z2), provided on the farther side from the edge approaching position (U) via an adhesion enhancing component (6) to move back and forth at any time while the single veneer piece (T) is being carried or such a motion is halted.

  • Publication number: 20030112043
Abstract: A PLL circuit for reducing an error in a frequency of an output signal for a reference signal and outputting the output signal with a smaller spurious output, and a control method for the PLL circuit. The PLL circuit has: a clock generator for generating and outputting a clock signal having an oscillating frequency, on the basis of a reference input signal; a phase detector for detecting a phase difference between the clock signal and an output feedback signal, and outputting a phase difference signal; a controller for controlling an oscillating frequency of an output signal on the basis of the phase difference signal; and a divider for dividing the oscillating frequency of the output signal outputted from the controller, and outputting a dividing signal having an oscillating frequency corresponding to the oscillating frequency of the clock signal, as the output feedback signal.

  • Publication number: 20030112563
Abstract: A head substrate and a protective substrate are formed of an electrostatic-discharge resistant conductive material having an electrical resistivity of 102 to 1010 &OHgr;cm. These substrates are electrically connected to a base metal through the use of conductive paste and are set to a ground potential via the base metal and a rotating drum. This suppresses a discharge current flowing through an MR element when an electrostatically charged substance touches or approaches a magnetic reproducing head, a terminal, a conducting wire, etc. to generate an electrostatic discharge. The magnetic reproducing head including an MR element and the like is prevented against an electrostatic discharge damage. It is possible to provide the magnetic reproducing head, a head drum apparatus, and a magnetic recording-reproducing apparatus which can highly effectively prevent an electrostatic discharge damage.
