Patent number: 9874290Abstract: A valve device is equipped with a body, a valve element drive mechanism, and a housing. The body has a tubular insertion section, in which a movable member of the valve element drive mechanism is inserted. A first flange is formed at an end of the insertion section that faces the housing. Furthermore, a ring is fitted externally on an outer side wall of the first flange. By projections, which are provided on an inner side wall of the ring, being embedded in an outer side wall of the insertion section, the ring is made integral with the first flange. The housing is of a bottomed tubular shape that covers the valve element drive mechanism, and an edge of an open end of the housing is crimped to the first flange through the ring.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2016Date of Patent: January 23, 2018Assignees: KEIHIN CORPORATION, HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Takahide Kato, Koji Hakoda, Takahiro Sasaki, Tomohiko Hatakeda, Satoshi Inoue

Patent number: 7401762Abstract: A solenoid-operated valve for use with fuel cells has a valve housing made of aluminum, for example and having first through third heating medium passages defined therein. A valve seat disposed in and fastened to the valve housing is made of stainless steel, for example. A valve head has a disk which can be seated on and unseated off a valve seat member of a valve seat. The valve head is coupled by threaded surfaces to the distal end of a movable member which is displaceable when a solenoid is energized. The movable member is made of a magnetic metallic material, and the valve head is made of a corrosion-resistant metallic material such as stainless steel or the like, for example.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2005Date of Patent: July 22, 2008Assignee: Keihin CorporationInventors: Hiroto Ohmori, Kouetsu Hikichi, Takahide Kato, Masakazu Murai, Narihiro Takagi, Ryoichi Yoshitomi, Koji Matsumoto

Patent number: 7275732Abstract: A valve housing has a bottomed hollow cylindrical main body and a boss projecting from and smaller in diameter than the main body. The main body has a tapered surface circumferentially along a joint where a side wall and a bottom wall of the main body are joined to each other. A plurality of inlet ports are defined in the tapered surface. The boss has an outlet port for discharging a fluid introduced into the main body. When a valve head coupled to the movable member is displaced and a seating ridge of a resilient member mounted on the valve head is seated on a valve seat surface, the inlet ports and the outlet port are brought out of fluid communication with each other.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2005Date of Patent: October 2, 2007Assignee: Keihin CorporationInventors: Takahide Kato, Kouetsu Hikichi, Hiroto Ohmori, Masakazu Murai, Kuri Kasuya, Hiroyasu Ozaki
