The method for processing an image within a display screen includes the steps of: setting one or more arbitrary set areas on a display screen; sequentially transferring pieces of image data for the set areas to a memory; performing intended determination by data processing to the pieces of image data in the memory; and externally outputting a result of the determination. The result of the determination may be output as information based on software, as an electric signal to one of a serial port and a parallel port, or to a network, in a form of one of e-mail, information data, and image data.
