The control unit starts a first time measuring in response to the external apparatus completing a reception of an image and starts a second time measuring in response to the control unit transmitting an image to the external apparatus, and cancels a state of executing the processing when a first amount of time elapses since the first time measuring has started or when a second amount of time elapses since the second time measuring has started.
