Abstract: In a paper feeding cassette storing stacked sheets, a rotary lever adapted to rotate vertically about a rotation fulcrum is provided with a lift-up portion for lifting up the sheets as placed in contact with a bottom of the sheets stored in the paper feeding cassette. The lift-up portion is vertically turned by the rotary lever.

Abstract: There is described an image forming apparatus comprising a toner container installation section for mounting a toner container which stores the toner, a developing device which develops an electrostatic images formed on an image carrier based on an image information, an operating mechanism which is capable of moving the toner container from a mounting position in the toner container installation section in a predetermined direction when the toner stored in the toner container is not more than a first predetermined amount, and a movement detecting device which detects the movement of the toner container caused by the operating mechanism and outputs movement information.

Abstract: In a fixing oil coating apparatus for coating oil to an outer circumferential surface of a fixing roller for fixing a toner image of a recording sheet, the apparatus has an oil coating roller including a cylindrical porous member impregnated with oil therein, and a brush-shaped oil applying member fixed on an outer circumferential surface of the porous member. The brush-shaped oil applying member is brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the fixing roller so that the oil is coated to the fixing roller.

Abstract: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus having a sheet curl correcting mechanism includes: a rotary body including either an endless annular belt or a roller; and a pressing roller for pressing the rotary body, wherein the curled recording sheet on which a toner image is formed is inserted between the rotary body and the pressing roller thereby bending force is applied to the curled recording sheet in a direction opposite to a curl of the curled recording sheet so that the curl is corrected. The apparatus further includes an air flow generator for applying an air flow to a curled recording sheet and the sheet curl correcting mechanism.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus, such as a copier or a printer, for forming an image on a recording sheet. The apparatus includes: a fixer for fixing the image on the recording sheet and having a heat roller. The fixer further includes: a pair of side ends in which a rotation axis of the heat roller passes through the pair of side ends; a heat pipe for regulating a temperature of the heat roller; and a conveyance path, having a reference position, for conveying the recording sheet in the fixing in which the recording sheet is conveyed along the reference position. In the fixer, the reference position is in a vicinity of one of side ends, and a center of the heat pipe in a direction of the rotation axis is positioned on the side end side with respect to a center of the heat roller.
