  • Patent number: 5824564
Abstract: In a thin film transistor array substrate, when a light shield pattern is formed in the space between a wiring group and a transparent electrode film, a trench which makes it possible to reduce bright spot defects is formed in an insulating film without revealing a light shielding film, by intentionally leaving a part of an a-Si film which is a semiconductor film constituting a thin film transistor. Accordingly, it is possible to manufacture a thin film transistor array substrate with less bright spot defects without increasing the number of manufacturing processes.

  • Patent number: 5636329
Abstract: A lower layer metal wiring is led out from a display portion to a terminal portion provided to the periphery of the glass substrate and covered at the upper surface with an interlayer insulation film. An upper layer metal wiring formed on the interlayer insulation film is connected to the lower layer metal wiring by way of contact holes formed in the interlayer insulation film. The upper layer metal wiring is completely covered by the transparent conductive film. A protective insulation film is formed on the transparent conductive film, and an opening is made in to the protective insulation film in the terminal portion. In the terminal portion, copper foil wirings of a flexible wiring substrate are connected by way of an anisotropic conductive film. • Patent number: 5583532
Abstract: An active matrix liquid crystal display allows thin film switching transistors to selectively turn on for supplying an image signal from a liquid crystal driving circuit to pixel electrodes opposed through liquid crystal to a counter electrode. The image signal has a voltage range variable with gradation to be indicated for reproducing an image. The liquid crystal driving circuit controls the image signal in such a manner as to be change a central value of the voltage range with the gradation to be reproduced at each pixel so that variation of a feed-through voltage is canceled.

  • Patent number: 5518575
Abstract: A tube loading apparatus for loading a flexible tube into a tube receiving section which can support the tube includes a head having a base, a pair of chucks mounted on the base and a driving mechanism for moving one of the chucks. The head is movable in the X and Y directions relative to the tube receiving section. Each of the chucks has a pair of holding members for holding the tube. One of the chucks is adapted to move in the X direction by the driving mechanism so as to change the distance between the chucks. The driving mechanism is driven when the tube is held by the holding members of the chucks, to increase the longitudinal distance of the tube while reducing the outer diameter of the tube. The thus deformed tube is inserted into the tube receiving section by keeping the deformed condition, and then the chucks are operated so as to release the tube. Accordingly, the tube can be automatically loaded into the tube receiving section.

  • Patent number: 5503263
Abstract: The tube carrier apparatus is composed of carrier rails, at least a pair of rollers provided so as to pinch a flexible tube therebetween, and a driving section for rotating the rollers. The carrier falls are formed with a groove as a passage for the tube through which the tube is to be carried in the longitudinal direction thereof. When the motor is driven, both the rollers are rotated in two different rotative directions, so that the tube is pinched between the rotating rollers and the tube is then carried in accordance with the rotation of the rollers. The tube carrier apparatus is simple in structure and small in size.

  • Patent number: 4726249
Abstract: A shift lever assembly operatively linked with a transmission, for manually operating the transmission, including a shift lever, a support, and a pair of stationary retainer plates. The shift lever has a handle portion at which the shift lever is manipulated, and a spherical coupling portion at which the shift lever is universally supported. The support consists of two halves in the form of a pair of support sheets which have respective adjoining surfaces substantially parallel to a plane in which the shift lever extends. The support sheets cooperate with each other to provide a spherical support portion which engages the spherical coupling portion of the shift lever for universally supporting the shift lever. Each support sheet has an outer surface opposite to the corresponding adjoining surface. The stationary retainer plates are disposed in spaced-part relation with each other on opposite sides of the support, so as to hold the pair of support sheets at their outer surfaces.
