  • Patent number: 7685989
Abstract: A 2-cycle engine 1 is provided with an ignition device 8; an exhaust control valve 24; and a controller 40 for controlling the ignition device 8 and the exhaust control valve 24. The controller 40 controls spark ignition combustion by activating the ignition device 8 in a high load range, and controls self-ignition combustion of a mixture in the combustion chamber 10 by adjusting pressure in a cylinder chamber 3a with adjustment of the opening of the exhaust port 21 in a low load range. In a low load and low rotational speed range, moreover, there is formed a stratified mixture field, in which the air and the fuel are much distributed in the central portion 10c of the combustion chamber 10 and in which burned gas remaining in the combustion chamber 10 is much distributed in the outer side 10b of the central portion of the combustion chamber 10, so that the self-ignition combustion of the mixture may be performed by forming the stratified mixture field in the low load and low rotational speed range.

  • Patent number: 5983851
Abstract: A method of lubricating a two-cycle internal combustion engine, which is capable of preventing blow-by of an air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber, is provided for increasing fuel consumption and purifying exhaust gas. Lubrication of a valve portion and a sliding portion of a cylinder bore to a piston is improved so as to enhance maintenance performance and further improve fuel consumption. The method for lubricating a two-cycle internal combustion engine in which a control valve is disposed, in communicating passages for communicating a combustion chamber to a chamber portion adjacent to the combustion chamber, wherein the oil is supplied to bearing portions of the control valve for lubricating the bearing portions, and also the oil permeates through the communicating passages to be supplied to a sliding portion of a cylinder bore to a piston by an injection flow of the fuel or the air-fuel mixture, and lubricates the sliding portion.

  • Patent number: 4179624
Abstract: A carrier control method using phase-pulse signals in which a plurality of terminal-selection channels and a plurality of returning channels having a predetermined phase width respectively are provided in one cycle of an alternating current carrier wave. At the center, a terminal-selection phase-pulse signal comprising a combination of existence and non-existence of a phase pulse for each terminal-selection channel is injected in the terminal-selection channels, corresponding to a code assigned to each terminal equipment. At the terminal equipment, the terminal-selection phase-pulse signal is received. When the code of the signal coincides with the code of the terminal equipment, a returning phase-pulse signal comprising a combination of existence and non-existence of a phase pulse for each returning channel is injected in the returning channels, corresponding to a datum stored at the terminal in the electrically readable state, and the signal is received at the center.
